240sxTTE, what the hell is going on with your torque curve? looks like someone took a bite out of the graph at different spots...is that timing/knock/resonance related? Got any finished pics of the engine bay or what this new header looks like? The wavy line is the shorty 4-1 header. The dips are f...

I just finished my NA engine (206whp) that I rev to 7500 rpm. Yes.....I switched from turbo to NA because the durability of a road race turboed KA is not good. I was constantly blowing head gaskets and finally cracked the block. Anyways, I would recommend a 3qt Accusump and overfill the pan 1qt. It ...

Help - 2010 GRM UTCC
The car is no longer KA-T just the KA but as a former T'er I would appreciate the help. I'm trying to get selected to compete in GRM's UTCC event this year. I would be competing in the Junior Varsity, Independent Study class (NA 4-cyl engines). I'm still working on my page but I know you are all fai...

The thing that worries me about the upgrade is the 2 bolt holes in the front that supply oil to the cams and the tensioner. Wouldn't it be a good idea to run under cut studs there too or get the holes enlarged? Alonso is right the front two holes are pressurized and feed oil to the cams. The middle...

I can't remember how much material there is around the idler gear threads. I would definitely look into it because a timesert requires a larger hole compared to the helicoil and the flange of the timesert is huge. I put timeserts in the block for 11mm studs and the OD of the timesert threads was 12....

Re: Stripped Idle sprocket bolt..
Stripped Idle sprocket bolt..what are my options now? I really dont understand how it happened because there was not an instant where I had to torque it hard. The one thing I did was add a little lube on the bolt(like CV join lube), but how could of messed it up, caus it screwed in there like butte...

I'd really be interested in a underdrive water pump pulley. I'm going to spin my new NA engine to 8k and would like to slow down the water pump pulley. I'm using an ATI crank damper so I can't underdrive with the crank pulley since the ATI pulley is the same diameter as stock. The stock water pump p...

Well i'm interested. If they're better, they're better. But they are expensive. edit* I'm sure if i'm having a blonde moment or not, but are timeserts basically just heavy duty helicoil? and will they be needed for the A1 studs? They are expensive but worth it and ultimately less expensive than hav...

I've been considering the A1 studs since my goals are high and I don't want to machine the block for bigger studs. Just wish I could find more reviews, more numbers/dyno sheets, etc using these studs. There's nothing magical. These studs have a min tensile strength of 240kpsi compared to the 180kps...

Sounds like everyone in this thread knows what's going on except me. lol I had no idea an oil passage went through one of the head bolts. There are actually three bolt/stud holes in the head that have oil running through them. The passenger side middle hole (oil feed hole) and the two in the front....

A1 is the lesser known arp basically. Their products are not crap by any means, and even AMS sometimes sends the A1's in place of the arp's since they're so close. Many of the bigger domestic guys live on A1's over top of ARP... they just don't have the brand power of ARP, that's all A1 Technologie...

I would like to hear about people using the 10mm to the limit... I have decked the top of the block and shaved the head and installed a felpro gasket, and Im aiming for over 600whp on the S366. But Im thinking I might have to rip it apart again and install 11's to keep the head from lifting at 30+ ...

So, I have been looking som more into this. In order to fit 12mm headstuds al of the holes(except the oil one ) would need to be drilled from 11.4mm to 12.4mm. This would obviusly not cause any problem. The hole that has the oil passage in it could be solved in a couple of ways. 1. Drill the hole t...

Here's another method. I never tried this way but I would be careful of the electrode being broken off.

Carefully remove the remaining ceramic. Use a shop vac to remove any remaining bits and then follow the instructions. Once you have removed the bottom of the spark plug use the shop vac again. No need to remove the head.

Always loved that car. Its one thing to hit that power, its another to have it hold up to track abuse like that. Sick car, love the front splitter. I'm at an interesting point of developemnt with the car. The dyno graph above is from the first year, '06, when I first completed the car. Since then I...

You might have already answered this but I see you are probably the only person on here that has gotten that much tq out of a t2 setup, but why not go to a t3 setup so you can make the same power but with less boost so this way you don't have to drop class's? Also it may be cheaper to go that route...
