Re: Gotta love blow through setup...

the collar might be my own fault tho... I dissembled that part of the piping not so long ago, prolly just didn't tight it enough. Since the car is turbo, it only happened twice, and I blame myself on both occasion.

I remember when i was draw through, the car would had just stalled , or run like **** till I fix the collar. That kinda suck to fix piping collars under the rain imo. Re: Turbo Blanket...effective?

I had a turbo blanket and a wrapped exhaust, all was isolated except the vband flange which was too close to the MBC. damn reservoir melted/leaked and oil caught fire. I wish i had put an heat shield too... :( I was lucky to extinguish the fire quickly. Had to replace vacuum lines, some electric har...

A fast hot hatch daily drive would be fun too. And I prefer that look to the conservative look of a GTI. ...

22-24mpg seems ok to me for a stock 240sx... this ain't no economy car with a ~20yo 2.4L engine, yet alone a single cam KA... any recent 4cyl engine would be more economical, but I don't believe that is why most of us got a 240sx... stick a 2by4 under your gas pedal and call it a gas saving device.....
