Garrett GT2871R 345whp 315tq

My headgasket went back in September during the Villains Sportsland 6 event. I think the motor developed a head gasket leak back in July. After I put the motor back together, I wired in the MAP, IAT sensors, and Boost Solenoid. Kenny at Turbogixxer got me in on a time slot in Auburn WA! She made 345...

Sorry to bump this as it may not be to relevant but if you're 30 miles north of Seattle I would recommend EOPerformance in Monroe WA. Mark Walker is a Datsun guy and has dealt with a number of KA-T builds in the area.

Front Covers Leaking, HG chopped off? :(

Hey guys, I have had this 96 KA for a while now. Before I put it in my S13 I wanted to take a look at the condition of the timing chain and how the bottom end look just by observing it on the engine stand. First thing I noticed (last winter) was that the front covers were caked. I bought it this way...

Re: Front Covers w/o Part of Headgasket?

You could TRYYYY a sort of gasket maker just on that portion...but you SHOULDD just get a new head gasket. Order it, put it on, have no doubts, be on your way. Go throw JB weld on the PO if you have the urge to use it on something. =D Yeeaaahhh, I've never replaced a headgasket before. This block h...

Front Covers w/o Part of Headgasket?

Hello, This might be a strange question, I'm having trouble finding an answer. On my 96 KA24DE I bought off of CL, I decided to pull the front covers off, inspect the timing chain and oil pump (timing chain is newer, woot). It had an oil leak, I decided to make sure everything was sealed up properly...

fab custom intake, getting rid of all emissions?

The other day a buddy gave me a KA24DE intake manifold that I was interested in chopping up to make a custom intake, or atleast use it as a base to custom fab a completly new one. I was just wondering what everyone does with all the vacuum lines / emissons that are on the engine. I basically want to...

When I ran boost with 7psi, I was pretty impressed. But now I would like to aim for something higher. :D

valve cover oil return line?

I was wondering if anyone has experimented with running the oil return line to the valve cover, drillin a hole in the side of it so it dumps the oil onto the timing chain or something. Since the valve cover already creates a vaccum, I was thinking that the oil line coming off the turbo wouldn't get ...
