http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/3/web/831000-831999/831102_101_full.jpg This image concerns me. Damaged turbos are not something you really want to deal with. That blade is pretty well bent and in an object that spins 100,000rpm, any dmage to the blades will cause it to vibrate itself a...

I'd have to say, neither. That one has 2 extra holes in it and looks like a Z31 turbo. Z31 turbos use their own specialized flanges. I've provided a link to a guy comparing a turbonics knock-off T3 turbine to the Z31 T3 turbine. http://www.redz31.com/pages/turboupgrade.html It would figure... I spen...

no project silvia it only fits denso injectors or something read it really carefully False. I own one and it fits both my rx-7 460cc and DSM 440cc injectors perfectly. They can mill it out to accept the denso injectors if you order it that way however. Word to the wise, the project silvia rail come...

My SOHC sounded exactly like that when I lost the #3 rod bearing. Thedull, hollow, metal on metal pounding that speeds up when the engine is revved is a tell-tale sign. It did that for about a day before sending the rod through the side of the block. That's no valve problem or timing chain tensioner...

Typically, you'll have to have a muffle shop do the work. If you bring them the parts, they can probably do it up fairly inexpesively. JGS has the 5 bolt flange for $30 ( part number TK049 http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/trbflg.html ). Assuming you aren't going for more than 300hp, you can just have t...

I do all my own work so there are no labor costs for me. I don' have any pics as of yet but I kept a full speadsheet of expenses and how I might do it differently next time. I don't always have the best of parts, but it's all reliable. I recently bought another KA24DE and I think that will be the bu...

http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6263 ^Start there for things you'll need.^ You don't really even need to touch the engine internals for any power level 300rwhp or less. If you really want to build the engine you'll be looking at about $2000 for forged pistons, rods, cams and machine work....

The first time I pulled my engine, it took me about 6 hours because I was constantly labelling and organizing things. Now that I've pulled it three different times, I'm down to about 1.5-2 hours with no help from anyone else and I just throw everything into one bin unorganized. After you do it a cou...

In order for the VLSD to work for you it needs to meet a few criteria. A: If your car has ABS, the S13 it came from must also or you'll need a non-ABS driveshaft and you'll lose ABS. B: You'll have to swap differential covers on the back to bolt it in. C: Output bolt pattern must be the same. If you...
