I bought an ecu from emance around july of 2010. The reason why I decided to choose emance was the price. I was trying to put together a budget t25 setup to use in the time being. Little did I know about his checkered past, I should've really researched this before purchasing. I suppose I was so exc...

Strait permatex ultra grey has never failed on me, but i dont have many miles on my car yet. You just have to read the directions and follow it. Torque the pan down hand tight, wait an hour. Then TQ it down to spec. Will never leak that way. NEVER use a cork gasket. All that being said, honda makes...

Honda Ultra Flange II > Any permatex RTV
So I had to do my oil pan gasket for like the 4th time. To make a long story short, cork gaskets, cork gaskets w/ rtv, rtv only didn't hold up, and if it did not for very long. Fed up, I decided to chalk up the money for a tube of ultra flange II after hearing about it from a fellow co-worker. It's ...

Really, the weight savings is a added bonus imo. If I wanted lightweight, I would've bought a honda. I see it as a revised block to eliminate any shortcomings of our current one. Even though it's not very much. If a Al KA is considered recycleable, then I guess so is most of today's automotive engin...

Well, It's just an inconsistency with the casting process. Not every block was core shifted, but if to say whoever was to produce an Al KA block, we could eliminate this inconsistency. Since aluminum is a softer metal, you can't really use as a cylinder wall, sleeves made of iron/steel would be used...

I don't know how to quite explain it, but it happens during the block is being casted. This motor just plain couldn't take the power. Both number 3 and 4 cylinders split vertically (4 being worse than 3). I had that block sonic tested along with 5 more blocks and found that the KA motors have some c...

It'd be definitiely won't be 1,500, Even the B16 Dart block is about 2,500. Although B-series has a much bigger following. They have been worked since the 90s. People didn't realize what potiential the KA could be had until around '02-'03 I would say. An Aluminum KA block could be made of comparable...

KA + Aluminum = Possibility?
My friend and I was **** around about what if they made a aftermarket block for the KA. They make one for a honda why not a nissan, right? Then we went on to say what if they made a block that is aluminum. Not only would you see some major weight savings, but I could see improvement is some areas. A...
