Stick to the sohc! swapping the DE is a challenge in itself, boosting and the swap it quite a bit of work. I suggest you find a nice used motor and boost it till it dies. That's what i did and it is much better than bustin your head over a swap which is not needed. Good luck!

The 2.75 idea sounds pretty good, a friend of mine was actually trying to talk me into it (he's also FWD). here's a crappy pic of the exhaust routing. i would love to go 3" but it's not looking like it. maybe i can run 3" with 2.75 in the tight spots. Got any ideas on where to get the magn...

so far the magnaflows sound like the way to go. i was expection a million japanese brand out here... i gues not :) i actually did think about just slapping on one of my 3' dynomax race bullets as maybe a resonator, but i use them on my 88 stang, and the db. levels are rediculous with them! any other...

yeah, i believe that was a STS remote system on the vette. anyways.... you could have a setuop like that, you just need to make sure the turbo is protected. my friend actually did that in his mustang, and cut out a lil' bit of his floorpans to make enough room for the turbos, he did so for extra gro...

How about we talk about the downside of reducing rotational mass??? If draging is one of our goals, no/low rotational mass only makes the car harder to get off the line. There will be very little stored energy in engine when the clutch is dropped, the engine will bog then when power comes back on t...

400whp is more than sufficient to run an 11 sec quarter with proper suspension/tire setup. Very true, you hit the nail right on the head, it's about the right susp and tire's too. i have had friends with 450-500 hp cars, only run 12's, they just couldn't put the power down. And i have run constant ...

But, with a Ducati, you have a frequent maintanece schedule and it is very expensive very true, it's like within the first 3000 miles, your need to go back like 3 times :( . harley's are the same thing too, they have a very strict schedule(with not much room for error), alot of guys just buy them, ...

yeah, a stock busa can do 9.8's in the 1\4 , a 999 does 10.1-2's . i've never been on a 999 , but i've ridin a 749 and it wasn't the fastest (accel) bike i've ever ridin, but it handled, was fast, semi comfortable, and the best word to discribe it was "balanced". i've gone on tons of busa'...

i think for the most part, it just means the different inlet\outlet sizes, 2.5' and 3'. n\a is best to keep 2.5' piping so there is backpressure. turbo, you want 3', no back pressure. i'm pretty sure that's all they're saying.
