Do you have a knock light? You need to look and see where its pinging to know how to adjust the advance. Is this for pump gas? 93 Octane? or what? The map I was using for pump gas 93 Octane was really similar to what you have there so it looks like you are on the right track. IMO it looks like you n...

Got it running. Not sure what to run for trigger angle. It's set to 60something now, a hold over from when the megasquirt was running on an early e36 325is. Haven't gotten a steady timing light on it (moved the battery to the trunk so I don't have a great place to hook it up) but it looked pretty c...

So I found the problem it seems, there was a loose connection where the signal wire from the MS goes to the MSD, white wire. I soldered it up good and it seems like it is all good so far...Lesson learned: I was using a butt connector and it has been there for about two years, seemed fine, but it was...

I have had the msd on the car for three years now and the car just recently started having problems. I had a coil wire bubble where it was rubbing my bov...

Is there a way for the msd to have any negative effects on the dizzy, the cap itself? or the optical sensor? 91 240sx I have MSD 6A making good spark. So good it seems like it is damaging the dizzy cap? Im getting a hesitation, a miss every once in a while, the dizzy cap has a lot of white discolori...

Re: New wheels, need to drop a bit, advice?
[quote="Spud5251I had eibach sportlines on my S14 and they were great. but i love the coilovers better. p.s. Why is your exhaust so Tiny? Custom or did you buy that? Not bashing just curious[/quote] The exhaust is a custom 2.5" from the turbo back w/ a 12" glass pack. It flows quite a...

Alright, I'm going to try to contain myself because after all this isnt zilvia. First off, ALL 240s came stock with negative camber, ALL 240s, so its going to wear one way or another. Second, if you want to lower your car and go over bumps and rub and gouge the **** out of your tires then wonder wh...

baahhhhhhh mark well you bought my first 240 off me so you just skip over my post :P ughhh anyways, besides these wheels sucking in every aspect a wheel could suck at, ummm you could always roll your fenders, aka heat gun and rubber mallet, that way you wont have to worry about the fenders cutting ...

But those cams still were screwed and it destroyed your head. Did PDM do anything to fix that situation? I am not sure that the cam did in fact do anything at all to the head. seeing how the last journal is smaller than the bearing, and titec2 has confirmed that this is the way that Nissan designed...

I could not get a good pic of my 98 s-14 cams. What I did notice is that there is no oiling holes on the last bearing surface of the cam shaft closest to the back of the head. The 98 head does not have the provisions for the last cap to be used. It looks to me like you have a mixed set of cams. One...

Don is the owner. It makes absolutely no sense to me for him to entertain the idea that I would have no idea what the cam is supposed to do, or have any insight into the lubrication system of my motor. The only thing that I can think of is that he got burned by something like this before, but that d...

You have the right type of cam in the exhaust side and you can see for yourself what the problem is. You know there is no oil port in the head on the last cam bearing, you can see for yourself. No oil between two moving metal surfaces caused this. Iv gone through 5 sets of these cams (sold some, tr...

more than likely you have fouled plugs or a weak spark, so when the idle is higher from the a/c compressor, the extra air and timing help to smooth out the roughness. Take a look at the plugs, and while you have them out go ahead and pop new ones in, and see how she does. You need to verify that you...

OK I re-read your post and if it is jumping around, you probably have a weak spark or a grounding issue somewhere, or your MAF could be throwing a temper tantrum. Double check your spark plugs, wires, rotor and cap, your timing, and your coil wiring. Also look for your main engine grounds and make s...

When the ac is off the idle is around 600? If so you need to reset the idle rpms. you will need a timing light to do it properly, at least to check to make sure you are not moving your timing. From the FSM, you need to let the engine warm up to operating temp, then turn off, disconnect the TPS plug,...

Not to say that I disagree, I think this is a major problem, although I don't remember what the stock cams looked like. Can anyone confirm that this is not what the journal is supposed to look like? http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n63/toady225/cam013.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n63/toa...

So, the gap does not go away from rotating the cam. I checked for roundness/alignment with a dial gauge and it does not show any movement at all. These are not stock cams these are PDM-Racing cams. FYI I also have all Supertech valvetrain components in this head. I did notice that the intake cam has...
