i had the same problem, i relocated my MAF to a blow thru, and it idles like stock, off throttle response is perfect, drops to 900 and holds steady. most people will say no to a blow thru, but for me and my setup, it rocked.

nah, its not the paint, the housing has been like that for about a month or more, its flaked a little, but the white stuff didnt show up until last week when i reinstalled the downpipe. i used a copper metal gasket but also put a thin layer of copper gasket maker in between the housing and downpipe....

haha, no vids yet. got a few other things done, wrapped everything, had the turbine repainted, with real high temp paint. seems like its lowered the under hood temps ALOT, i can touch the mani and downpipe after shutting it down. http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t239/tig488/P1000220.jpg http://i16...

you dont need t-bolt clamps for a solid setup. ive seen 800whp supras and vettes running worm clamps, t-bolt clamps installed improperly can do more damage than good. and your point about the idle is total BS, mine idled fine with the pull thru, but on decel and off throttle it would hesitate and so...

the Zs and Gs run blow thru, running as high as 600whp, and upper teens, using a blow thru maf.

what shouldnt be open at idle, you talking about the BOV?

im running 18psi, and more on race gas. as long as you use a maf thats not been damaged or cracked its fine, the plastic is thick and hardened.

i recently did this, i put the maf over where the battery was on the cold pipe, hands down one of the best things i did to this car. it runs perfect, just like stock. idles great, no hesitation or stalls on decel or part throttle. 100x better. luckily it didnt lean it out to much. my enthalpy ecu di...

nice writeup, good job. i recently did my manifold, downpipe and wastegate dump to try and lower my underhood temps. i used DEI wrap and worm clamps, wet also. i couldnt do the 3rd mani runner because it was too short to get a good wrap. below are a few pics. turbine housing is out for a respray. ht...

or buy a union from stinger, its a cap with both ends open and an allen bolt, you slide each wire in, and tighten the bolt. voila.

you are, but what youre gonna do sounds good.

if you want to go bigger, you can do what i did in my other car that has more stereo, im using an ANL fuse, they go much higher, i think its 150amps.

its always good to put a fuse within a foot from your battery. just in case something shorts out. but not many people do it that way. i put a fuse box under the hood, i ran my 4GA power wire from the battery in the trunk to that fuse box.
