My bad Nelson. She was making around 440whp/380ftlbs. The other motor I put in had an issue so now I am working on a VQ37VHR. Make 600whp stock block for a motor that cost me $380 from the yard.nelson240sx wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 1:30 pm How much power was she making when she gave up the ghost?

HAHA...I did not have luck with the Cometic and the fire ring separating. I went Cosworth and that stopped my issue. Good luck with her.

What's up guys...just checking in to say what's up. I still scour on here from time to time. Been working on the VQ. On Valentine's Day, I broke her heart. I am now finally getting to putting her back together. Hopefully, in 2 months, I will be running again and hurting some butts. https://youtu.be/...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
One of the few issues I hate about the KA. I had thermal gasket and leaked boost until I noticed the mani did not have enough meat. I fixed by adding material with JB weld. Not sure if the flange warped or thermal shrunk after heat cycles. You will get this.

Re: e85 fuel level sensor
I would test out for $30. Since late 80's, ethanol has been in fuel. If adams sending unit still works and "not" e85 compatible, you are only paying more for a label/claim.

Re: e85 fuel level sensor
I swapped in a VQ35 into my S13 so I ripped out the cluster to put a tablet for my gauges. Curious now if I can connect a sending unit to the megasquirt. If not, I will get an aftermarket gauge with an aftermarket sending unit.

I replaced two and they both went bad. I just fill up everytime I go out but need to get an aftermarket one as well.

It's a bitter sweet moment. Sad to go but happy to get some money. That is how I felt with my motor but the VQ will make up for it.

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
Nice adam. Me and you will need to text back and forth. My alpha TIG is coming in the mail today. I have a 336 cubic sq ft tank. I was lucky because my bro in law got one from a shop in Orlando for free. It is Airgas so I went and swapped for a straight argon tank. Was $123 out the door. I looked at...

Re: Supakat's Thread
Been a long time since I posted/updated. It is much easier on youtube to do this. Anyhow, about 6 months ago, had some engine knock. Put the car down and finally opened her up about 2 weeks ago. Turned out cylinder 3 rod ran a lil slack. I then contemplated rebuilding the KA or go VQ. I then found a...
