Cant wait to get my car up and running again so I can test this hx40 out with the stock housing. If I dont like it I am buying a BEP .70ar housing asap should give me a larger powerband without choking the top end too much. I'm not sure what size the HX-40 comes with but i know the BEP turbine hous...

Turbo seals typically don't go bad. If it is a ****, abused old turbo then it is possible. Blowing massive amounts of oil through the turbo doesn't mean the seals are bad, more likely it is the drain causing issues. The seals do go bad! do you know what seals the turbine side? its a piston ring wit...

I had the exact problem with my old car.. It was the turbo seals leaking, the majority of the smoking was due to the oil entering the engine from the compressor side of the turbo! it takes a very small amount of oil to create smoke!! pull your intercooler pipe off at its lowest point, when i did thi...

Re: help on wheel offset

im just wanting them to stick out there a lil and still be able to put some meat on them. The 2 do not go together, as stated if you want a decent sized tire you will need a 35-38 offset in the rear, for the front a 9" wide wheel is not a good choice for a S13 and not wanting to do fender work...

My next turbo will probably be the BW efr 6758. Its good from 300-500hp range and i can keep my car bottom mount.
Just an FYI, the 6758 reaches choke flow on a KA right around 13 psi and 7600RPM. The 6758 will get you close to 350whp.

supakat wrote:+15 and what size rim? I think at that point, you will get close to the coilover.

The +15 offset puts the rim further from the coilovers, You will be very close to the coils with the +24 cobra wheels

A rom tune and 1600cc injectors? Back in the day, Enthalpy told me he would not recommend a rom tune for anything over 1000cc injectors because its very hard to get them to idle.

Yeah, if you are going to do this, good luck. There is a big difference between a driveable car and a dyno queen. If you are lucky, you will get a few good pulls on the dyno before something destroys itself. if you want to go with a 'drivers car', then go with what others have done. karey, brad, ra...

Any how, the 350z 12.7" rotors require a special mounting bracket that can be found on Ebay, and yes the will fit behind most 17" wheels. They have no chance of fitting behind 16" wheels FYI..

The lower the number the more lip you will have, but its a trade off. If you go with too low of a offset you will have issues with fender clearance..

On the fronts if you go with to high of a offset you will have problems hitting the struts

S14's can fit a much wider wheel without mods. to the fender. If you going to run 15x8 wheels you should get them in either a 25 or 30mm offset and run the widest tire that will fit an 8 inch rim.. Check out this thread on zilvia, lots of good info in there.. http://zilvia.net/f/chat/166563-maximum-...
