Re: Mazworx z32 trans swap users help needed.

So are you running a actual Mazworx kit( not a knock off) & did Mazworx do the machine work on the Z32 bell housing? Mazworx is correct I've done multiple cars over the years and never had an issue unless the car was in a bad wreck also make sure your engine mounts are on the correct side. There...

Re: E85 back to Pump 93

You have a chipped ECU right? JWT? Chances are you have a bad capacitor or something like that in your stock ECU. I figure this out on mine yrs ago and sent the JWT ECU and a good used one to Jim Wolf and just paid him to move his hardware over to the replacement. I experienced the exact same proble...

Re: E85 back to Pump 93

Sounds like the ECU. Capacitors failure if I had to guess. If you have a JWT ECU then you can send him a replacement computer along with yours and pay them to move their board over to the replacement ECU. This is what I had to do. The wide band and narrow band signal are reading correctly and accura...

Re: E85 back to Pump 93

Correct. I experienced a similar issue years ago when i was still running tuned stock ECU. I'm assuming you are getting your O2 voltage values from what the ECU sees. If this is true I would disconnect the narrow band signal and check with the signal voltage from the O2 with it disconnected. There i...

Re: E85 back to Pump 93

Are you running stock O2 sensor still for the computer? If so, what's your O2 voltage reading from cold to warm? OK... so upon COLD start the O2 sensor (narrowband output from wideband) reads .44V upon cold start with wideband reading 14.7, then stays solid for about 30 seconds when the O2 voltage ...

Re: E85 back to Pump 93

So what's your MAF voltage reading after starting the car and it begins to go rich? Record your readings. Then check the O2 sensor voltage reading as it richens up? You already checked coolant so we can weed that one out based on your info you gave us.

Re: E85 back to Pump 93

That's great that the sensor is working correctly but how do you know that signal has made it all the way back to the ECU? You can perform an ohm test on the two wires from the ECU. Also want to do the same for the O2 sensor signal which can alter AFR's. If all this checks out then its my opinion th...

Re: E85 back to Pump 93

Check to see what water temps your ECU see's during these different water temps. Especially when 160 degrees and under. This is to confirm water temps sensor is still within range and report back.

Great Job Adam. Yea, KA's are remarkably reliable when built properly and not being cheap on the setup. As you turn up the power you will really love the car. 22 psi is my daily and I love it at that level for daily driving.

How are you tuning your car Adam when it comes to ignition timing? What compression are you pistons and what thickness head gasket are you running?

Re: S14 KA-T Boost issues

You need a TEchtom or DataScan to see all your values. Specific values I can think to be looking for is MAF sensor, coolant, CAS sensor signals , Injector pulse width before and after the engine starts to give the problem. I would start there.

Its set to 8200. I just usually shift earlier when clowning around. Only when I'm serious I will run it all the way out. No need it pushing it that far for no reason. At least that's how I see it on a street car.

Re: 700hp goals

You if you want to make 700+ and spool at 4K then go twin scroll twin wastegate precision 6466 or just go big the first time to a 6766 like I did. I hit 676 WHP @ 27psi. 761@33psi. Depending on your bottom end asssembly you can rev out to 7500 rpm safely Otherwise just shift at 7200 and still be fin...

I used to be only go .63 T3 turbine housing on an SC61 turbo many years ago. Then my fabricator talked me in to a Garrett 67mm T4 twin scroll twin gate setup. I read alot of dyno graphs and decided to go for it. I have never look back ever since. My new turbo since I went E85 is the new precision 67...

You have a lot going on here but start with the basics.... Have you confirmed you have spark with motor turning over? Ignition pulse width? Nistune with a VQ35maf is a new one... If it only ran with the tuner's tune then that would tell you alot. You need to datalog your inputs, maf voltage, coolant...

Re: Head lifting issues solved Permenantly!!!

I just installed these on my head as well. Motor is still at the machine shop getting worked on. Did you run the supplied washer and the insert together? Also is it necessary to install time serts ito the block? Yes, you can run the supplied washers with the insert. If you run 11mm head studs then ...

Re: *Updated* Post clean pics of your cars!

The car looks killer, Duron! Nice stance and I love the wheel/tire setup too. I have three questions: 1. What did you use to tint your turn signals? 2. Do I spy clear headlight lenses with an HID projector retrofit, or am I just high? I used the VHT tail light tint you can get at any parts store. Y...

Thanks guys. Yea I do all my own tuning. I honestly left more power on the table. Never even had a chance to add more timing or make any more adjustments due to the intake. One of these days I may play with it again on the dyno but I okay with these numbers.

843whp 40psi

Not a bad day at the dyno today. I stopped at 843 when I blew the weld on my intake manifold. You won't see the 843 graph because I forgot to clamp the dyno pick up signal after regapping the spark plugs but the dyno still recorded the pull. Still more left in the motor but I'm gonna leave it right ...

Re: Head lifting issues solved Permenantly!!!

These washer inserts are for anyone using high torque studs (L19,625 materials). As far as stud diameter it doesn't matter. This is because the torque is so much higher than what the head was designed for in OEM application. Also the cylinder pressures envolved when making 600+WHP. For those running...
