Re: Beercans s13
after 2 years of running on this lsx setup (and over 11 years with this car), was finally time to let her go with all the changes going on in our lives at the moment. Had some issues that caused the car to get too hot on me for my comfort driving home one day, pulled off and let her cool down. Ended...

Re: Beercans s13
So, did a controlled experiment this week trying to get some fuel economy out of my engine. only changing driving style, limiting to about 15% throttle, was able to roughly 160 miles from 9 gallons, effectively 17 mpg in city driving (couple stops here and there, mostly 45-55mph driving). still have...

Re: Can anyone familiar with KA24E and MS3/MS3x look this ov
fwiw, its extremely simple to configure ms3x to handle fans (and you have more accurate control vs using the thermoswitches). you can configure them to come on using data from multiple other sensor units (i.e. rpm/mph/clt/etc). if you pull up the fan menu in tunerstudio, you can see the outputs you ...

is he not going to adjust the tune to your setup (take actual readings from the car)?
you can tune to the piston compression ratio unless you are trying to squeeze every ounce of power out of the tune

Re: Max boost for injectors?
try to keep duty cycle around 80%, yes you can go higher but its not suggested due to higher rates of wear on injectors causing failure np you also want to keep that 20% duty cycle buffer in there in case of boost spikes or other operating conditions that may consume more fuel than you plan for, ot...

Re: Max boost for injectors?
just so you know There is not a direct correlation between the amount of boost and injector sizes. Each turbo produces a different amount of power for each PSI of pressure. How you can tell if you have enough room left 1) get the compressor map for your turbo 2) get the efficiency conversion (how mu...

Re: KA24DE HX35W Turbo
if you want to use the hx35w (i went that route), you can weld the wastegate flap shut on the turbo then utilize an external wastegate. The internal gate isnt good for our application because it has bad opening characteristics and a high psi rate on it. You get much better control with external gate...

I don't have a speed input to my ms either, but use the gallons per hour gauge to get an idea of where I am (can take mph and divide by gph in real time to get approximate mpg). With some logging and data filtering, you can look at certain map/rpm combos and gauge the gph affects on timing advance....

Was getting horrid gas mileage (~10-12mpg), had pretty stable afr's so I started going for the timing changes.
