Re: Water/Meth instead of ECU tune?
Go with at least 370cc injectors. I would recommend using the S13 wiring and ECU. Tuning that is a breeze. just need to socket the ecu to accept a chip. Easy to tune.

Re: Chassing lean/misfire the last 6 Months. Built Longblock
What does your ecu say is happening? You say the wideband says lean, but the plugs are black? Are you 100% sure your cam/ignition timing is correct? Do you have your own o2 sensor hooked up? Go ahead and post athe current tunes you are running. Have you do a free air calibration on your wide band la...

Re: Yet another timing thread (t28, 93 octane)
Sorry for the slow response.. I don't have any way of monitoring knock. I should hook up some det cans, seen alot of diys for them.. I'm running a big ISR FMIC on 93. Have ran that timing for months so it's good. I might dial it back a few degrees for summer. ICEMAN thanks for the info about 20-22*...

So, What fuel are you running again? You said you were originally running E85? Also, what is the latency value you are running? Can you post a copy of your tune?

Re: My ka24de build
Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you've got a decent build there. You should be able to make 350-400whp on that setup. The stock intake manifold will be fine. Plenty of people have made good power with it. The stock trans should be fine at that power level. It all depends on how hard you are on it...

My opinion is pull the engine and look. This time, put a new oil pump in. Make sure you dont have standard size bearings on an undersize crank.. No easy way out of this one.. Post your findings..

450hp build Felpro vs Tomei HG
So, I am finally getting around to putting my build together. Originally I had been reluctant to use a metal head gasket because of all the head lifting issues I have seen posted on here. I had decided to use a Fel-Pro. I only plan on making around 450 HP on my setup and figured the Fel-Pro with goo...

On my setup with the S15 t28 i was running 20-22* @10psi with a good intercooler and high milage engine.

Re: after catch can install car smokes at idle and 1st gear
I haven't tried option b, i am currently running what I described above. The reason why it works so well, is the suction from the turbo will create a vacuum in the catch cans / crankcase. If you vent your PCV to the catch can, & a cat scan to the atmosphere, there will still be a pressure buildu...

Heh, I skipped over the summer you said it was a single cam. Sorry. Then yes, I would say suspect your Isis fuel pressure regulator. If you have a stock one, throw it on. It will be a lot better. I have bought a Megan before, and was not impressed with it.

Re: No Fuel Pressure After Pump Primes
Are any of your injector o-rings leaking? That is the first place i check when having fuel pressure problems on these KA's and SR's. I would bet money it is a lower o-ring. It wouldn't be a bad idea to replace all your injector o-rings. I have came across quite a few ka's that have bad injector o-ri...

Re: Slightly longer Upper Rad Hose Options?
Or you could go crazy and weld up some SS elbows and pipe and make a solid radiator pipe and connect with couplers at the engine and radiator. then you could put it where ever you want. Otherwise, I am just letting the pipe and hose touch. there isn't any vibration issue or risk of rubbing through.

Re: I have a stupid question re: injectors
Side feed injectors sit in a pool of fuel. when the lower o-ring goes out, it dumps fuel directly into your intake runner. Make sure to change your oil, it probably smells like a gas station.

Re: after catch can install car smokes at idle and 1st gear
It is smoking because your crankcase is no longer operating under a vacuum. You need to hook one end of the catch can to the valve cover and the other to the turbo inlet. This way it will draw the gasses out of your crank case. As for the PCV valve, I haven't decided what to do with that. it was hoo...

Re: Best oil for ka-t
I'm doing mine every 2k. Normally I'd have no problem going more but with a turbo ka you face a couple issues that kill oil. First off once you go turbo, 90% of us are screwing with the factory pcv system, which can go a long way for keeping moisture and other particles out of the oil. For instance...

But you do not hear the injectors firing? If the coil is firing and the injectors are not, it sounds like an ecu. I'm sure you check your grounds. Can you get s spare ecu and try it?

Re: *Helping a friend* Kade swap into an s12, injectors no f
So when you turn the distributor over by hand, then injectors are not clicking? Make sure to turn it over by hand to verify. You cant hear the injectors clicking while you are turning over. If the coil is firing, the ecu is/should be sending the signals to the injectors. Is the fuel pump priming? Is...

I have a set of Deatchwerks 850cc's. I upped the fuel pressure from 3 bar to 4 bar/retuned and instantly noticed a better idle.
