Re: tips mig welding

I didn't noticed if anyone mentioned wire size. The mig machines usually come with .030 core wire, but you can get it as small as 0.023 or so. It makes a huge difference using the smaller core wire on sheet metal. You can run lower machine setting and run longer beads without blowing through.

sequential, it ran with the distributor, then I did the ls1 coil conversion following the write up and came up with this issue. I guess I am asking how to re sync/calibrate the ems settings to work with the new parts. I tryed both the listed coil values and the coil wizard, both giving the same resu...

Wiring AEM EMS - Fuse size?

I am installing an aem ems into my volvo that has a generic 20 circuit hot rod harness. I have the engine harness from my nissan, and need to splice into the 2 brown and white connectors to supply power. I am following the factory harness for the most part, using relays for the ecm and fuel pump. I ...

jgs manifold, its taken a lot more hassle and headache to make it work in this car then I had hoped.

But I am almost ready to start wiring it.

Anyone know a good place to send parts out to for ceramic coating?

The more I thought about it, I didn't think it was a "California car" all its life like his craigslist ad stated. The rust and notre dame college parking sticker in the window from the early 90's suggested other wise. http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q572/Starclassic03/1967%20Volvo%2012...

On the phone he told me I could probably drive it home, 158 miles. I get there and it would barely idle, could not go into reverse, and probably 3rd and 4th for that matter too. I used a "U-Haul" tow dolly to bring it back that had terribly scary wheel bearings on it. Tons of slop in the w...

Personally I think white is the cleanest color for a Japanese car. I painted my 240 and my civic both this same color. I actually did the "50 dollar paint job" (paint rollers.) on the 240 and it turned out pretty decent. A huge pain in the ass and waste of time as compared to just spraying...
