MS3 Pro install troubles
Hi all, I have a 240sx that I am trying to get working on MS3 Pro. I have all the other connections made, but when I tried to crank the car I got no RPM. I am attempting to follow this writeup, but there is no mention of MS3 Pro on the page, and the settings change for each type of board and version...

Re: Wiring VW ignition coils
Matt,
That's the exact style I was wanting to use. The ones that have 4 wires. I guess there's is a good chance I'm just confusing myself

Re: Wiring VW ignition coils
After looking at my board, I can't see where/if I even have a coil driver installed on the board. I'd assume this is necessary to run the COP in the first place. Like I said, the previous install was using the igniter from a DSM to run the wasted spark coils. My board: http://imageshack.us/a/img46/8...

Wiring VW ignition coils
So I've got a set of vw ignition coils that I'd like to use. I'm coming from using 4G63 setup and would like to use smart coils to eliminate the added igniter. I'm using a kit not the PNP. What internal changes do I need to make to the board? My current setup has the 5v pull up and my spark output i...

Ok so i got my trigger disc in (24+1) and things are good. What i need now is some sort of way to drive a tachometer so i can see what the RPM is on something besides TunerStudio. What are you guys using? Stock tach with the output circuit (if so what resistors did you use)? Aftermarket tach? I need...

Did you ever figure out how to get the tach to work? I'm not far from hooking up my stuff and wondered if you got yours working or not. I suppose it's not as simple as running a wire from the tach wire from the coil/PTM to the Nissan cluster... I;ll take pictures of what i have tomorrow when it's l...

Update: (yet again) I can't let this slide any longer. i have an event to be at on the 29th. Anyway. i got the car to start and run for a minute or 2 with the 4/2 CAS and the mitsu coil and ignitor. But i'd still like to know why i couldn't get anything when i tried to use it on the falling edge? an...

Ok, so i have everything hooked up and i have a signal but it's still not correct because all it will show is 50 or so RPMs while cranking then drop to 1 and sporadically repeat that a couple times. something is probably not right with my second input (surprise). I take it from what you said in your...

Also is there an easy way to move pins around on your premade harnesses so i can get inputs to the coil and everything on the correct wires? And my dumb self managed to break a pin on the MS2 daughterboard last nite while trying to solder in the new circuit. removing the card is kinda tricky, to me ...

you've probably already seen this but this is where i was headed with the way mine was set up. http://www.msruns.com/download/file.php?id=5936 But now i've changed it back to the directions in 50a and added a pullup going to C30 I think that he had modified his inputs a little bit more than he had n...

yeah i have all the emissions stuff removed as well but i have a custom intake manifold and that might run into clearance problems but i believe i can still fit it there. I was just intrigued because i thought that i'd have to get custom wires and wasn't looking forward to doing that. I'll go try to...

Could i get some more pics and details on how you mounted the coil packs and plug wires? I am going to be running Megasquirt and have my setup use the DSM coil packs. i am about to the stage where i need to mock up placement for this stuff, and i thought for sure that i was headed towards custom plu...

I've also got a DSM coil and ignitor that i plan to use with the setup. I have the spark mods as shown on those pages but the input mod for the second trigger ...

Running MS2 Extra
I see on your site all these instructions, but they seem to be for running either MSnSE or just MS2. I've gotten my car to run on MS2 but would like to go to extra. I also have the 4G63 mod done to the dizzy if i can figure out how i need to solder up the board in order to step to MS2. the 4G63 inst...

I guess i need to aim this post at poot since i have a similar setup. i have a S13 open diff that i plan to swap an S15 helical into. it's going into a 90 S13 manual coupe without ABS. i would like to get the low Q45 gearing if possible. i have the helical unit and the output shafts for it already. ...
