I appreciate the feedback. Looks like eagle/wiseco is the way to go. Icalled a few local guys here in Florida for prices, just waiting on extra cash to come in.
Motor is apart and awaiting go-fast parts. I would babble more but it sucks surfing the web with the mobile phone.

Back in the game- Mild Build KA24DE
So I'm building another motor for my S13. It's been a while and after a few searches, I've noticed some new products out there. My question is, what's a good rod and piston combo now a days that's cost effective? I've seen some Manley stuff, CX Racing, etc with the rods. And there's a few piston opt...

I think there is a thread in this section. I had talked about this a while back I think also.
I have an extra set I've been wanting to play with. I'll be home tonight and I'll link/reference some material if I can find it.

I'll be coming over and picking some stuff up in the next few weeks. I've always wanted to see your shop. Cash/Local discount?! I tried using the site. And the price changes from when you choose to add to cart, and the price in cart goes up. And I can't apply the code. Yeah, I'll just swin...

Re: OBX turbo manifold?
I'll chime in with what little bit I know. I think there is one thread on here with some info that a guy had installed it and liked it. I think the CX-Racing one is close and a few people have tried it. I'm willing to do something with one of these off-beat manifold setups when I get my car back up ...

Re: Hiccup with Enthalpy tune and windshield wiper motor!
Definitely sounds like a ground issue. Try to ground the motor a little better, and also the ECU maybe. Sometimes if you don't screw/bolt the ECU back down well it gives funny things like fuel pump issues and other little gremlins,

Re: Ka24det headgasket options
Multi-Layer Steel (cometic) is only as good as the prep work on your block. If you get the block cut straight with a good smooth surface, and also the head done the same way- then the Cometic (Multi-Layer Steel) will work just fine. I suggest running around your torque sequence on the head in 10 ft/...

Re: 11mm headstuds
Best way I can explain it.... They are only 1mm larger, so if you try to just tap them in, there isn't enough meat to make new threads. You have to basically drill out your block, then tap in a new threaded "sleeve" that will bite into the block, as well as have threads for your new larger...

Re: *resolved* cometic leaking, *i've searched*
For anyone searching and coming across this, I recommend torquing to FSM torqe but going in 5 or 6 steps. Like, go in sequence all the way around to 20 ft/lbs, then to 35, then to 50, then to 65, then to 70 or 78 or whatever the FSM is (i really hate to leave this important info out) But i've done i...

I'm game for this. I moved into base housing and the previous owner had a dog that destroyed the yard. I had a hell of a time fixing it. The kicker was, is that I am from the south, and I moved to New England and had no idea what I was doing. It was a crash course from hell, but a nice experience. E...

I'm going to say I had the best launches with stock springs/struts, with solid subframe mounts and a few upgraded suspension arms. She was squishy, and bit pretty good when she hooked up. After I got coils, every arm replaced, etc.... I noticed it was harder to hook up. But then again, I never knew ...

Depends on how you want to look at it. If you NEED front TC rods, then obviously an 'upgrade' is going to make a world of wonders. But if you want to throw something at your car and it's still perfectly stock off the showroom floor, then I would say coils like the OP. I would get into using other ex...

I thought the OSK one from FRsport is from the same company as the OEM nissan chain, just without the dealership cost... thats why i suggested it. I have no idea. My OEM stuff came in sealed bags. I can't preach this enough. But call Ruban at TheNismoShop at West Covina Nissan and get an OEM one for a hell of a deal. He hooks it up. Or get the OSK one. Or get an eBay one. I'm sure anything non-OEM is going to be hit or miss eventually. It all depends on quality control. Pick your poison. Ruba...

This is also because it sounds like it's an internally gated turbo. They don't operate like a normal external gate. They are a little slower to react, in my experience. I had a 3076R in a T2 configuration. I ran it externally gated, and it was like night and day. Not to mention great spool from the ...

I have the fist batch of Arias pistons I think that came out for the twin cam. No clue what forging they are. I beat them for about 10-12k miles like they owed me money, with no issues, no irregular wear on 3 separate tear downs, and were only 'audible' on first start up, when it was like 20 degrees...

You can bolt a stock fuel rail to an Xcessive manifold from what I remember. So it should be the same as if you were using a stock manifold. And the AMS fuel rail used the larger domestic o-rings/injectors, so whichever injectors you get, you can just get a fatter o-ring to take up the space. Not a ...
