Re: MINI VAN WITH A DIFFERENCE
I like how the intake is a equal length with no plenum. I wonder how efficient that is compared to the plenum type we have?

Quick question on re-routing a coolant line
I know this has been asked before and I have searched but I want to get a definite answer to my question before I proceed. Would it be possible for me to eliminate this coolant port on the intake manifold by teeing into the return heater hose? I know people say you have to keep it because while the ...

Re: finally building my ka :-)
If you want to keep the oil pressure switch, look into a Honda oil feed adapter. I have been using one for years and it is a much bigger piece that resists cracking. plus if you have to go back to na you can just plug off the turbo feed port.

Okay I just wanted to see if anyone has had this issue and if they had any problems. This is my last attempt at trying to have a boosted car. I did read that some people have used jb weld to fill in small pitts in their cylinder heads. I'll have to see where the hg sits and go from there. thanks for...

just want to confirm with people who have had there heads resurfaced. I just picked up my spare one from the machine shop and when I got home I realized that on cly 4 there is some pitting I don't know if this is server enough to cause issues. I am using a felpro HG so I know it will fill in the spo...

Okay so I just want to confirm this process. It works really well. The bolt size is 10m 1.5mm thread pitch you just have to flatten two sides with a dremal or grinder, only takes a few mins. The scotch brite pads are a little iffy. If you have light residue from the old hg, or whatever, it can deal ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KABhydC0Q_o My built motor didn't seal on the head gasket and I need to replace it. I was looking on how to chase the bolt holes and this guy does surface prep as well. I usually just use brake cleaner and a scraper. I am getting another head resurfaced and the block h...

Yeah im using a tune from 8-bit that is fairly conservative. It's for 12psi and my maf and inj. combo. I just need to pull back some more timing to be safe. I'll probably just stick with it. The other reason I asked is because I have a jgs mani and its a bi*ch to take off the wastegate while on the ...

Should I lower the boost
Alright I have my new semi-built motor in the car and I just need to bolt on the intake and turbo/exhaust. Thing is I debating whether I should get a lower boost spring for my wastegate. It has a 14lb spring in now and I have nistune but im not sure I want to start right out with 1 bar. What are you...

Do i need the aac valve?
Just a quick question I was looking around and was wondering do i need the acc valve, or can i just use the iacv valve to help with cold starts? I tried looking to see what each does but it seems people just talk about the iacv.

Well this is more of a street/track car. I know that with nissan they use a grade system but i already bought these bearings before i found that info. Its more of a buget build that is less than 1000bucks so far, i have a lot of spare parts. lol I could go with a .01 oversize bearing if that would b...

connecting rod cap mix up
So i have been assembling my motor and stupid me i mixed up the connecting rod caps. I checked bearing clearance on two of them and they were way off. .051 for one of them and 0.038 for another using std. bearings. This is using plastic gauge by the way. I am using stock rods and all of the rods hav...

which ARP part#
It's been a while since i've been on here and i decided to build a motor with the spare parts i have, seeing as i can't sell the car as a whole. The build is mild. I am using standard cp forged pistons as the only real upgrade, besides arp hardware. everything else is stock and i have had some basic...

The problem is i check the ecu power supply pins and there is no power to e...

Alright so i checked the sensor and it read 1.8 resistant fsm says 2.1-2,9 or 20c. i switched it to one i had on a spare intake that read 1.9 or so. i'll see how it works. I am not sure if that would throw it off that much for a misfire. Plus as i was going over the car i found that one of my turbo ...

I can't stop it from misfiring.
Alright so i finally turboed my car and got it running. Seems to drive fine and everything but there is a consistent misifire at idle, decel and accel, in boost. there is no misfire at cruising and now when i let off completely it still shows around 15-16 afr rather than maxing out at 21.8 until abo...
