intake manifold i built
it just needs a vac manifold welded on and a bracket for the throttle cable. then off to polishing. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f161/weirtech/Project%20RWD%20CRX/DSCN0225.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f161/weirtech/Project%20RWD%20CRX/DSCN0219.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f161...

right now i am only doing fab work for local customers. i like to warranty my stuff for life. by keeping it local, that way it is easier for the customer to come back if any issues arise. i'm not saying my stuff is perfect, because i have had to repair manifolds in the past, but i like to stand behi...

finally, a KA manifold!
this is going on a local drift car i am sponsoring this year. his current setup is an ebay manifold that is starting to crack, so i made a jig to replace the manifold but would allow him to run all the other components. we will slowly upgrade the rest of the kit as well. http://i47.photobucket.com/a...

i've built manifolds using mild steel and 304ss flanges. ss flanges do get as hot as mild steel flanges, it just takes them a bit longer to get as hot... kinda the opposite of aluminum which gets hot quicker. this is what makes stainless more prone to warping. when you weld any material, you are app...

i've got head flanges, turbo flanges, downpipe flanges, wastegate flanges and 1.5" schedule 10 304 weld els in stock. head flanges are only $22. i don't think you will find them much cheaper.

Looks real nice, but id like to see the clearance in the engine bay haha. Its gotta be close it isn't too bad actually. the charge piping is going to be tighter than any of the hot pipes. here are a few earlier mock up shots. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f161/weirtech/Fab%20for%20Hondas/DSC007...

i hope you aren't a welder 480sx because that is some bad info. by your theory a butt joint or a lap joint could be done with no filler at all. that is never a good idea. the filler metal is what gives the joint strength, especially with stainless welding. as for the op, i'd weld the pipe to the fla...
