Is throttle linkage the same thing as the throttle cable? :) If so, it is actually quite tight. I am running it tucked under the runners, which makes for a pretty sharp tension-creating bend where it turns to the throttle pulley. I will have to check if it indeed does let the throttle body open unde...

KA24DE idles at 1900 RPM

Hello, A few days ago I started up my car, but it idles higher than desired. The motor has not been started in two years. During that time the timing/distributor and the idle air screw were not touched. However, I did remove all emissions and unnecessary vacuum lines, swapped the upper intake manifo...

RB25 clutch fan upgrade

Hello, After hearing that an RB25 clutch fan is a decent cooling upgrade due to it having one extra fin and more clutch resistance than the KA fan, I finally acquired one. However, after comparing the two, it turns out the RB25 fan is also bulkier, and quite a bit heavier, 0.5 kg (1.1 lbs) heavier t...

If your A/C condensor is gone it should be very close to a puller setup. I say just buy some slimline fans and go puller. Whatever style points you get from a tucked bay will be negated by the gay fans up front. Yes, the A/C condenser is gone. The pusher fans would not be visible, hopefully. I have...

Pusher electric fan(s) only?

Hello. Is anyone on here using only pusher fans to keep their KA/KA-T cool? Obviously, I am aware that pusher fans are generally not as efficient as puller fans. I am just curious if they would be efficient enough to keep the motor reasonably cool. My reason for doing so is mainly just to make the e...

One single 14" pusher fan. Definitely not the most efficient setup, but it makes the engine bay look more tucked. :)

Also, to be clear, I have always assumed that the terms 'damper' and 'harmonic balancer' are two different things, and a crank pulley can act as either, or both, or none.
I know that some people refer to all crank pulleys as a damper, or as a harmonic balancer, even if technically they may not be.

It is just a solid chunk of steel. There does not seem to be anything on/in it that would act as a damper, unless I am missing something.

Why do you fellows say that just capping the ends on the bottom of the intake runners with rubber vacuum caps is not a good idea? Is it because the turbo pressure can blow them off, or is there another reason? I plugged mine off with rubber vacuum caps, since the hoses that are on there stock are ru...

The stock pulley is not even a damper actually, so in my opinion the ATI pulley can only do good.

On the pignose bumper, a lot of people cut out the fake upper vents to make them into real vents. You could also install a Hot Road vent. I have actually never seen that done on a Zenki or Chuki S13, it might be kind of cool. I assume you are not using the front bumper support or have it trimmed for...

Yes, however, in my opinion it is not actually advantageous unless your KA is making a whole lot of power.
