Re: ISIS RS3871 @ 12psi
Does your boost taper off pretty aggressively on stock cams? Thats the one thing I have noticed with this turbo, which is surprising to me given the size. Even my old t28 would hold max boost a bit longer. This is rather peaky like the stock turbo on my sti.

Re: Xcessive Z32 Adapter Failure - Do Not Buy
I haven't been on the site in a while, but I am very thankful I stopped in. I was just browsing for z32 trans adapter kits, and figured after I checked out the Xcessive kit I would drop in here and see if anyone had issues before I bought it. THANKFULLY this post was on the first page.

Exhaust Jig Ideas?
Hey all, I am working on an exhaust for my BRZ which has a dual exit exhaust. Intermediate exhaust components like manifolds, downpipes, cats, etc can all be jigged easy by fixing a flange on either end and bolting up to that. But, how do you jig a catback, particularly the tips? I can't seem to com...

Re: better way to seal blow thru maf
If you can find them, someone made a metal z32 maf housing designed specifically for blow through. I found one on this forums a few years back and it works fantastic. Seals up great and no blocking apart billet aluminum. Background: I had a stock z32 maf that blew at 8psi. Epoxied the cap and in the...

I haven't chimed in on this yet but I had a similar failure with my Cometic. I attributed it to debris from blown rings but it looks just like what supakat and TTT have posted. I had both block and head decked to the right polish and used copper spray. I had everything machined to the proper roughn...

Yeah the head is supposed to be like that, it's not broken. The bottom tensioner should have a long spring behind it. So there shouldn't be any gap between tensioner and guide? The tensioner is supposed to be constantly pushed against the guide? Yes. I just pulled the head off mine last week as a m...

good part is i got 3 other heads laying around so i probably wont need to buy shims. :) Thanks for the info IF for some crazy reason you still dont have the correct shim thickness, and you don't want to order them from Nissan there is one other method. You can put a shim in that is slightly thicker...

what flow rate do these Q45 injectors claim to have ? in my experience v6 and V8 injectors tend to be sized to flow less fuel in cc/min per injector than 4 cylinders because there are more of them. What performance gain do you hope for? The best way to determine what injector it is is to go by the ...

you dont need a thicker h/g....only thing is does is very very slightly raise your comp ratio which wont hurt anything being so miniscule.... This. The machine shop should have no reason to take enough material off the head to require a 'shim'. If they did it was for one of two reasons (that I can ...

Where are these dots you are going by? And why have you chosen to focus on them? As long as the connector will plug into your harness, and they are the correct impedance I don't know what else you would need to rule out. The dots are on the part where they connect to the harness, the reason I asked...

I think it head gasket looks like coolant mixed and I read that people had same problem as me but dif motors I think u can use bkr6e for my setup You can read your plugs to be sure. Do a WOT pull and immediately shut the car off and check a plug. If the heat range is correct you'll see a heat line ...

Re: 97-98 ka head question
I just recently have gotten my car running and just trying to fix all of the little things before I put the car on the road. Well after letting the car run for about 10 to 15 min it starts to spit oil out of the breather on the valve cover. After doing some research I found that the problem was, th...
