Re: Tires

What are you looking for?
Lots of good tires from good Manf.
Might I suggest having a look at what Tire Rack has for inventory and reviews.

Re: Where to buy "Walbro 255" locally for < $70

It'll work, just make sure you put something between the 2 prongs to keep them from ever touching. when I installed this on a friends EK, I broke off a piece of plastic from an old connector and shoved it between the 2 prongs and ziptied the wires together to wedge the wires against the plastic to k...

Oh hey, I made that :D

Now if only I could find a nice LSD to put my 4.375 R&P on, and find someone to install it.
Our dealers down here don't have the Shim selection tool for some reason nor show interest to order it :(

Perhaps an 8mm Thread?
Though I would not be surprised if it comes up as a BSPT either.

Re: Trunk Rattle Fix

Common S14 problem.

I wrapped the striker in electrical tape.
You know if you wrapped it too much cause the truck won't close or pop open.
Other than that you'll need new bump stops for the trunk and move the latch down so it keeps some preload on the trunk when closed.

My daily Used to be a 95 Virgin Auto Zenki.
Sold that now daily my POS 90 Fastback with nice original paint and 49k miles on the chassis.

Re: *Gauging Interest* Single Din and Double Din Gauge Pods

I'm referring to the Control Unit Hole since there's already plenty of vent plates.
I have not measured the opening but I'm sure you can squeeze in some 52mm gauges in there.
If not just a block off plate would be nice.

Re: *Gauging Interest* Single Din and Double Din Gauge Pods

I'm in for a S13 HVAC Spot Panel.
I still have a Radio but The HVAC Unit and everything that goes with it is gone.

So I'd be down to make use of that empty hole in my dash.

I understand that but all the Dirt and Rust on the Hubs/Wheels you'd need to sand them for it to even fit. Seems like a reasonable tolerance.

I mean I've been running Lug Centric for Years now so I have no issue.

If I remember correctly you'll need Matching Front Timing Cover/Oil Pump, Top Timing Chain Cover & Valve Cover.

Never done a Hybrid my self but I know Front parts of the Head & Covers are different.

I'm sure 7800 would be fine with Lighter Pistons and Rods, FULL bottom End balance (I would include the Flywheel Also), Loose end of Bearing Clearance, Quality ATLEAST 40wt Oil (i.e. 10w40 o...

+1 Depends on how big a snap ring we're talking.
For a car my Matco 6pc set has worked every time.
For work when I do our 2-3" Snap rings I use my Big Matco one. Almost looks like bolt cutters with snap ring tips on it lol.

Nothing spectacular.
But today was her last day. She was totaled a few weeks ago by my neighbor, but she was still driveable. So I figured before I put her down to finish the fairly new tires I just put on her.
