just got done install my cam and the clearance calls (hot) .008 to .010 and all my clearances but two are off more then (cold).010 to .020 off... I am using BC valves/springs/retainers/guides. cams are crower 61353SX-2 im kind of stumped on why they are all off that much.... i did get the head a val...

well thats not good... because i got the white bunny but soon was going to upgrade to the z32 transmission... let me know how this works out for you

get it balanced! if not could greatly reduce the life of the motor

took two more heads. One of them was warped .09 and the other was warped .02 so its still usable! thank goodness now i can get on with dumping parts into the head!

no they did not they refereed me to another machine shop.

yea i have 4 other heads sitting in my living room three are scrap, but ill take them in just to see if they are warped too... found a place that can more then likely salvage the warped journal bearings for 175$ or so

Yea i plan on pushing about 400whp or so... So yea guess ill be sourcing another head

they dont even have the caps they are checking with a straight edge, im going to go take the vavles out and put a cam in and see if the spin freely

so i took two heads, one that was on my bad motor (lost compression) and one off a running motor with a lower knock. Both went to a machine shop and found that both have warped cam journals. Is this a normal thing? I've read about this being 3/3 out of the heads being warped

my first dyno ever

was pulling codes on my car the other day and came across this. Going to pull the injectors spray them with carb cleaner / ohm them / check connections. Anything else I should look at while doing so? The injectors are 1K delphi's.

It sounds like a bad connection. You didn't mention whether it goes up past you current rpm, so I'm using my psychic abilities to determine.
