Re: Do you have any other hobbies?
Recently I have been working on assembling a 3d printer and getting it working. I have done a lot of design work at my internship and at school with Inventor and Solidworks, respectively. I am currently in the process of making some real, functional, and printable NACA ducts and vortex generators. A...

Re: DIY PNP Megasquirt Launch Control
I'm not sure what you mean Supa, but the new (3.3.1) firmware took away the "cut X sparks from Y spark events" part of launch control for some reason.

Re: Adam's build thread. Update: Where I have been.
Look at that...20K with auto x events and still lasted. Proves to show that a good tune on a stock block is reliable. Good work Adam. It could have lasted even longer. It had detonation on those cylinders, my best guess is the injectors weren't flowing what they were supposed to. I always had idle ...

Re: Adam's build thread. Update: Where I have been.
Stock block? I did not see you mention anything but I'd be happy with the length of time it lasted. It was a stock block. I think I put around 20k on it with the turbo. It was a hard 20k. I'm not too upset about it. If there was E85 available here it would be getting g rebuilt with high compression...

Re: Adam's build thread. Update: Where I have been.
So I haven't been here in a long time, and there is a good reason for that: I have had little to no free time. Between school and my internship I have barely had time to sleep, let alone goof off. But some bad news: I blew up the KA. I'm not sure what happened, I was driving normal one day and the k...

Re: N/A KA is happening
^^^^^beer can this is true! I've heard of s2000 owners losing 20+hp just by adding a cheap "performance" cat back system. No back pressure is good for turbos but na needs a little for exhaust scavenging. Being na you're gonna need to squeeze power from everywhere that is hindering it. As ...

Sounds pretty great. It's too bad I don't have a running car to test it on.

Re: Do I need a tune?
Sounds like what would happen if you unplugged the MAF. It is probably dead or wired wrong.

Re: Lean hot restarts... IAT heat soak
The GSLender firmware ignores the IAT on cranking. You should try it, it has great idle control also.

Re:
HY SR got on the dyno last night. The HY is a little big for that SR. in its defense the car has a long tube exhaust manifold and a Freddy intake mani, so its def gauged toward top end powa. at 8psi the WG just couldnt keep up and it would creep to 14. we raised the boost to 12 and it only crept to...

Re: Finally going KA-T. Update: Finally got new tire and coi
So I have been gone for a while. A brief update: I moved to Bowling Green to attend WKU. I live in a **** little apartment with a gravel driveway. I haven't done any work to my car besides putting coils on the front and new tires. I took my car to Beech Bend, I ended up with a best of 13.6 at 106. I...

So does anyone want to set up a new KA-T forum?
I am looking into it. The current management of this website seems content to sit back and collect without actually doing anything with it. I don't like the ancient software this forum runs on, and I feel that it is going to be over run with spam and good original content is dwindling. Just somethin...

Has anyone ever gotten their AE right?
I get reported knock occasionally when opening the throttle quickly. I am using a TXS knocklite, so take that as you will. Either way, I have a very responsive turbo and I am afraid that I am doing this wrong. I have it set to 100% TPS AE. I have noticed that it will dump a lot of fuel for a short p...

To answer the original question - 250whp might be enough to start with, but it's far from what you're going to want when 250whp no longer scares you. Honestly after a few months, 350whp started getting boring...lol It truly depends on what you want or what you are doing. Highway pulls at 250hp is b...
