Re: Virtual Dyno vs Dyno Tune vs .75*:1psi
Wow this is an old thread...nevertheless I'm not arguing that a dyno isn't an extremely useful tool, what I don't believe is that the torque curve is always capable of showing signs of knock. I strongly believe that DET cans allow you to pick up on the slightest hint of knock which is invalueable f...

Re: The Zenki KA-T build thread!
i was under the impression 1000cc on e85 wasnt all that much. i run 740s on 93 at 18# and ~75%. 1000cc is 35% greater than 740cc so on paper youd be at a similar standing which i guess you kinda are if we pretend my duty would be closer to 80 at 19psi. ***** Connecticut. were never getting corn.

Re:
But what you also have on the street is variable load. Hills, bumps, fat passengers, corners -- you name it. Things are more 'real' and dynamic, so a tune that was 'safe' in some idealized situation on a dyno could be pushed beyond 'safe' with a few strange road conditions. I think youve lost the i...

Re: what mounts are you guys using?
yeahhhh my JGS mounts failed eventually. the metal plate that holds the stud is pretty shallowly casted into the mold, so it tears off. i went the 8$ each napa jeep mount rout and they seem about the same. but hey if they last another 7 years thats not too bad. their trans mount doesn't seem to both...

Re: Oil/air seperater box
fluid, air, sound are all lazy, they'll take the path of least resistance. due to the VC being a pretty straight shot for the air to go and the PCV having to dance through the separator you could say its easier for the air to go out the VC. picture a pail with two holes in it, if one holes bigger or...
