Re: Nismotronicsa

I love my Nismotronic as well. My dad and I both have them on our S13 KA-t's. I'm running a Garrett GT2876R, atp ewg housing with Tial MVR, FD RX7 850cc sidefeeds, AEM water/meth, N62 drawthrough and made 440whp/380wtq at 23psi. The boost by gear is awesome, I still need to dial it in, but 1st and 2...

Have you been to cincy street wars? Looks familiar but I thought you were on s14 se wheels with some tiny drag radials there.

Re: Clutch that can hold 500 TQ

I have a fidanza D21 and NA Z32 Spec Stage 3. It's rated at 515ft lbs.

You can tell it's a stage 3/from a different car. Driveability is fine but it does take some getting used to.

Thermal Zero is close to me, he makes everything in house in Cincinnati. Cool guy, I stopped in as I needed a "custom" blanket for my ATP T25 EWG-44 housing. Turned out great for a good price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/THERMAL-ZERO-T3-TURBO-BLANKET-BLACK-EXHAUST-HEAT-SHIELD-2300-DEGREES-MADE...

Re: Valve cover paint, what do you guys use?

We also use the eastwood kit and eastwood powders mostly. I think my dad started ordering from another place for powder. This is more of his side project than mine to be honest with ya.

My dad and I have started doing our own powder coating. Stuff is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Durable and looks great. This is a much brighter gold in person. Florescents don't do it justice. This one is on my car. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t155/jholman05/60668_10101011885650055...

Sounds like you should just save yourself a bunch of time and money and just keep the stock head gasket and run a little less boost? Then when you can afford to do the milling look into a head gasket.

Congrats man!

Since no one else has said anything yet, yes your motor looks to be timed right... now setting that distributor timing, that's another task in itself.

Might want to paint that block if you haven't already done so.

Looks like a good start, I would just ditch the safc/avcr as soon as possible. Need some type of timing control, look into a NismoTronic SA ecu, you can use it to control your boost as well. Seems like it would have been less work to just pull the engine to do the valve seal replacement and welding ...

Back in 08 I had a similar situation. Stock S14 engine, T25, 370, N60, SR20 SMIC. I didn't really know what I was doing and my fuel injectors were leaking very bad. I ended up adding about a quart of fuel into the oil and drained it like yourself, "pumped" the system out, fixed my leaks an...

What he said ^ leave the fuel lines hooked up but remove the rail from the manifold, if any gas comes out when you turn the key to the ACC position you have a bad oring. Also if you have gas coming out of your exhaust, you more than likely have it in your oil as well. Pull the dipstick out and smell...
