Re: Nismotronicsa
I love my Nismotronic as well. My dad and I both have them on our S13 KA-t's. I'm running a Garrett GT2876R, atp ewg housing with Tial MVR, FD RX7 850cc sidefeeds, AEM water/meth, N62 drawthrough and made 440whp/380wtq at 23psi. The boost by gear is awesome, I still need to dial it in, but 1st and 2...

Have you been to cincy street wars? Looks familiar but I thought you were on s14 se wheels with some tiny drag radials there.

Re: Clutch that can hold 500 TQ
I have a fidanza D21 and NA Z32 Spec Stage 3. It's rated at 515ft lbs.
You can tell it's a stage 3/from a different car. Driveability is fine but it does take some getting used to.

Re: Turbo Blanket...effective?
Thermal Zero is close to me, he makes everything in house in Cincinnati. Cool guy, I stopped in as I needed a "custom" blanket for my ATP T25 EWG-44 housing. Turned out great for a good price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/THERMAL-ZERO-T3-TURBO-BLANKET-BLACK-EXHAUST-HEAT-SHIELD-2300-DEGREES-MADE...

Re: Valve cover paint, what do you guys use?
We also use the eastwood kit and eastwood powders mostly. I think my dad started ordering from another place for powder. This is more of his side project than mine to be honest with ya.

My dad and I have started doing our own powder coating. Stuff is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Durable and looks great. This is a much brighter gold in person. Florescents don't do it justice. This one is on my car. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t155/jholman05/60668_10101011885650055...

What he said ^ They'll even ship it back for free if you mention KA-T.org forum special on the service sheet...

I've had them clean and flow test a couple sets of injectors, came back looking new with a quick turn around.

Yeah, shouldn't hurt. I've always just painted all mine black. I try to stay away from gloss, it makes it harder to find something you drop down in there when reflections of light are shining back at ya. I actually like the color of yours tho, I was under the impression that it was just bead blasted...

Looks like a good start, I would just ditch the safc/avcr as soon as possible. Need some type of timing control, look into a NismoTronic SA ecu, you can use it to control your boost as well. Seems like it would have been less work to just pull the engine to do the valve seal replacement and welding ...

What he said ^ leave the fuel lines hooked up but remove the rail from the manifold, if any gas comes out when you turn the key to the ACC position you have a bad oring. Also if you have gas coming out of your exhaust, you more than likely have it in your oil as well. Pull the dipstick out and smell...

Picture is worth a thousand words here. Also, idk about S14 but on the S13 it's super easy to change the mileage on the odometer. Mine stopped working a long time ago at 67k, before I bought it. I had it out locating the problem (corrosion on the shaft the numbers spin on) and set it back to 0 miles...

Cool, yeah its not really an oring but more a formed piece of metal that has a rubber coating... don't forget that lol. Yeah I just reused most of the old stuff. So if your box says KA24DE head studs and the tops of the studs all say ARP 2000, what did the sheet in the box say to torque them down to?

I just had the same thing done at the machine shop... my arp headstuds did the same. I used the lube arp gives you and tightened them down into the block with a ratchet, then back them off and rethreaded until I got get them to the bottom by hand. (My threads were a bit rust from sitting at the mach...
