Ebay. And dont give up on the chip tune. My chips wouldnt have gotten me perfect AF's but if you use it with an S-AFC you can atleast control timing and modify injector pulse width and remove speed limits etc. Thats the plan.... I'll burn a chip with a stock tune rev limit 6300rpm and speed limiter...

If i go that route again, it will be with a full standalone system. Its near impossible to tune when yo...

It only leans out when your sitting still and you rev it?

i don't have any experience with the SAFC but i would double check that you have the MAF wired in correctly.

probably just a boost leak..... look hard enough and you'll find one lol

sounds good... now i just gotta get an SAFC...... i did the rom tune thing before but **** that. its a pain in the ass driving around and taking notes/reburning chips...... ect safc seems safe with timing retarded at the dizzy. i think timing is what killed it last time - we only have 91 octane here.

Head/Block resurface

Pretty simple question: Do i have to have the head and block resurfaced before i can install the head? or is it sufficient to clean the block and head? What should i clean them with? I have all the gasket material off but it doesn't look shiny. can i use a wire brush on a drill, with rubbing alcohol...

Bottom End Question

Bottom end question. i have all the pistons and rods back into the block. Is it normal to hear a scraping sound when turning the crank by hand, with the pistons installed? Also, the crank seems to be easy to turn, then it gets somewhat stiff when #2 &#3 are on the way up. is this normal? Thanks.

Motor wont turn after installing rods

I finally got a chance to work on the motor a bit tonight - i got all the pistons and rods into the motor and snugged down. i torqued #1 and #2 rods down to 35 ft lbs. but... when i tighen #3, i can no longer turn the crank, even with the crank pulley bolt threaded in. Whats goin on lol? :?
