theres a nut holding the adjuster in place what are you referring to as the dial indicator, the four screws that hold the top of the housing down? those are tight. and yes with the adjustment screw you use the allen wrench to adjust all the way out it stays at 40.. i don't think the gauge is faulty ...

i was wondering if any of you guys thought about a nissan patrol engine. its a inline 6 4.8 motor tuyrboed. a patrol is the japan version of our pathfiner. if you look on youtube you see them killing labos. also they do hillclimbs in the desert. I think the patrol motor would be nasty in a 240.
