Re: KA24det project idea. Would like advice from you....

ka24det making 413hp.... under 2500 rpm the car feels like a stock ka24de... I have a GTX3071R... brian crower stroker kit... jim wolf technology race cams... xcessive intake manifold... I always wondered how I can improve the low end rpms. is this for real? under 2500? have you tried downshifting?...

Everything to the head/upper rad hose = return.
Everything to the block = feed.
i believe its the other way around. head is feed. block is return.

i have no direct experience, but from what i read/understood the twin scroll should have about the same power and spoolup of a normal mani. however TS off boost response is supposed to be night and day compared to SS. like comparative to NA motor response in power

do u already have the turbo? if not i recommend t3 setup, much better suited to ka, and will allow headroom. these t2 setups are nice and cheap, but there are cheap t3 manis too. just something to think about http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-240SX-91-94-95-98-KA24DE-Top-Mount-Manifold-T3_W0QQcm...

ok cool, im using one of those thick braided steel grounding strap things from autozone, just straight to the chassis. and it works fine for me. it wouldnt hurt to still leave the battery connected to chassis by a thick wire right next to it, and also run a 0 gauge up to the octopus thingy. you coul...

when coils go bad do they always fail completely? if not maybe your coil could be going bad? just a thought and theyre cheap. also check grounds, or even use one of those super grounder octapus wire deals to give better grounds. if it is detonation, might be time to try e85

ya the cheap ebay kits dont fit perfectly, sometimes require alot of work, and like everyone says you get what you pay for. heard stories of the skirts or rear bumper not being long enough and having to be cut and reglassed to reach. some are ok though, good luck if u roll the dice.

there are a million ways to do this, and at least 2 long threads here. id highly recommend reading through them and deciding for yourself, as i disagree with many ways of doing it mentioned here. its YOUR motor, so do what YOU think is best, that way its YOUR fault if it blows up. good luck!
