Still one of my favorite S13 KA-T builds. Good luck with your rebuild, and should you ever want to sell that intake manifold or make another hit me up

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
Love the LS2 bracket you came up with man. I went with something much simpler with mine, and always wished Id taken the time to do it right. I recall one time where I boost crept to 25psi and saw AFR's hit 12.2 (was running 120lb inj on 93, and it was a cold night thank god).... Felt like I was bein...

Re: Head lifting issues solved Permenantly!!!
This was one of the main drivers to parting out my 240. The head kept lifting repeatedly, and I was only in the low 400's. So thankful to see this Duncan, as I'm planning on making a return and this issue weighed heavily on me. Thanks!

Re: ka24det running REALLY HOT. Help me
+20 for air in system. Lift the front end sometimes helps get the bubbles out too. FYI - Both the OEM and Nismo thermostat break open, and not closed like VatoZone and Oreallys brand knock offs. Worse that will happen if it breaks is your car runs cold, like a deleted thermostat. I'm sure someone wi...

Re: ka-t running hot.
You've introduced extra heat in your engine bay, and blocked the airflow to your radiator so it only makes sense you're seeing higher temps. You also neutered your cooling power with electronic fans instead of the factory clutch fan on a stock radiator. I've been through the same issue. Living in Te...

they are not allowed to buy the products they export here. look on ebay sometime, all the places that ship from hong kong are not allowed to sell to people in china/hong kong. not sure if it is because of exports or what, but its pretty funny. The idea is to get the terrible products out of the cou...

Lol I don't think I'll be getting too far ahead. I needa get some Skilla. Why the vvti motor might I ask? The vvti head is one of the worst flowing ones, and valve tining is difficult to even take advantage of depending on your management system. Two part really. One, started with a VVTI GE engine ...

Yea it has a weap hole to start pushing coolant pressure out and so you know if the pump is bad. But the gasket can leak on its own also, which causes it to overheat as well. Such as the case with mine right now. But if you don't see any leaks you should be good. As said above, you're probably lift...

Did you make the Throttle cable housing holder? Or does Rich make it? Also how did you get your hood to clear? I just built a ka24de with the same intake manifold and my hood wont close now. Same issue I had with the SOHC xcessive plenum. Thanks, I would like to get my hands on a throttle cable hou...

That looks cool but I would totally abuse it and break it. I would just stick to a simple wrench that works. A good torque wrench should not be used as a breaker bar. They are tools used to measure, not break free. If you buy a nice set of tools backed by a quality name, and treat your tools right,...

HOLY F! That sucks man. I had a really old torque wrench that me and about 5 buddies all shared that was so far off its spec, it caused low readings and my head would lift under boost (used the same wrench to build my last KA-T.) You should check out these new super nice Brownline Electronic Torque ...
