Re: Xcessive z32 trans kit fixed

MAN THIS CAR IS SO GIGGITY! I want to know more on how you wired the car.. The car uses virtually no factory wiring. There are no relays in the car... Yeah, crazy, I know. It's super simple. All of the systems get power from those 6 fuses. 1. ign power and gauges 2. fuel pump 3. fan 1 4. fan 2 5. l...

Xcessive z32 trans kit fixed

Ok dudes, I'm sure if you're looking at this or considering purchasing the Xcessive Manufacturing z32 trans kit, that you've seen all the other threads regarding their problems. This thread is not to bash their **** products but more to show an option on how to address their issues. NOTE: I have nev...

Re: Xcessive Z32 Adapter Failure - Do Not Buy

Sorry guys, I don't check this as often as I should. I don't have any photos of the modifications done so I drew it up quickly to hopefully explain it better. The red bracket thing is the shifter bracket. The black triangles are just 3/16" plate triangles that I cut and welded into each bend(4)...

Re: Supakat's Thread

Wait, what am I thinking? If you are moving the clutch closer to the engine a 1/2" and also machining the bell housing a 1/2", then everything should be fine.

Carry on gentlemen.

Re: Xcessive Z32 Adapter Failure - Do Not Buy

So I had a long reply for this thread but somehow lost it. I still feel the need to give my opinion as well. I'll start by saying I have regretted every single purchase I have made with Xcessive. Their customer service, shipping, prices are all pretty damn good. However, the quality of anything I ha...

Re: Z32 trans kit with White Bunny clutch- starter problems

I did not receive and have never even seen those spacers. I wonder if washers would yield the same result.

Hey SUPAKAT, do you have a "white bunny" clutch/flywheel setup?

Re: Z32 trans kit with White Bunny clutch- starter problems

Which spacers did you receive? Are you talking about the flywheel spacer and the large bellhousing spacer/adapter? If so then yes, I'm using those. I still haven't looked into this. I will most likely fit the starter on engine side (factory location) somehow and post up how I did it.

Re: Z32 trans kit with White Bunny clutch- starter problems

Hey guys,

I have not had a chance to dig further into this situation yet. I will try and post a solution whenever I do.

The pressure plate does not stick out near the flywheel teeth.

The clutch is a stg 4 comp clutch for z32.

Z32 trans kit with White Bunny clutch- starter problems

Recently I converted to the z32 trans setup using an Xcessive kit. I have had starter issues since day 1. About half the time you try to start it, the starter engages but doesn't turn the engine over. Instead, it makes an extremely loud grinding noise. I always thought that it had something to do wi...

Yes, K series and S2k are the same. They don't use the same plug as maxima but they are pinned exactly the same. We did find that the plug is nearly the same and would fit with some trimming but I'd suggest just buying K series plugs.

Low oil pressure. I'm stumped. FD Pro-AM in 5 days!!!!!!!!!!

Ok guys, I feel kind of silly asking about this but I'm lost. I have a digital VDO gauge and an Autometer mechanical gauge that both confirm about 35-40psi cold idle, and about 10psi hot, and about 40psi on a quick 2nd pull to 6k rpm. The pressure reacts slowly. If I hold it at a high rpm, it will s...

Maxima coils- Bad experience

Ok everyone, I just wanted to share my story with the 95-99 Maxima coils for any of you looking into a coil-on-plug setup. I initially went to the junkyard and got 7 coils (4 for use and 3 spares). Well, after getting my fresh engine started and setup on the dyno, they were giving us trouble at 18is...

The only thing that I can see that might cause an issue is the hose that flows to the back of the thermostat. But surely the coolant surrounding the thermostat should make it open right?

Race car cooling system questions- Pics to help explain

Alright guys, I have a strictly competitive drift car and I'm trying to simplify the cooling system as much as possible. Last season there were (2) coolant hoses that gave me trouble that I'd love to delete on the new setup. I have heard that you need these (2) to help with cooling but I'd like more...

Ok no one really answered the question. However stock bolts are suppose to not have this issue. Some of the effects of this have been said...

ARP main studs vs stock main bolts?

Ok guys I'm building a dual cam for 400-450whp and came across this dilemma. I just don't buy the whole " ARP's distort the crank bore" and stock bolts don't? Both are fasteners and if torqued in order to spec how does an ARP squeeze it any differently? Feel free to get super technical and...

215* is not boiling. Because the water in your system is pressurized, the boiling point increases. It is also increased by running any sort of coolant or water wetter type additive.
