Re: Jmac's forged build pics

Oh man, this was Ka-t.org before Facebook took over most of the forums. Can't believe how fast time has gone by. This car was sold and then was involved in a flood and parted out.

Re: nismotronic ka24de cop help

I have my latest blue emerald S14 running and driving with this setup. I'm tuning it now. I dremeled the cas disc to get my timing dialed in. I'm locked in at 20 degrees now. I'm running the s13 sr20det Ecu with nismotronics, s13 ka cas with sr20 cas disc, 3bar gm map, gm iat, and maxima coil packs....

Re: Q45 Diff question help please

In my s14 with a turbo ls1 t56 I'm using q45 diff with 350z axles. On the right side the axle is a tad bit shorter so used a spacer. Been ripping this for over a year with no issues. I used 350z axles from the shortest side of the two. Just can't recall Which side I used. I measured then went to a j...

You really should be getting your boost reference from the intake manifold not the compressor housing. You drop psi between the comp outlet and the intake manifold. Your intercooler is most likely a restriction. Make sure you turn the boost down after rerouting. :)

It will help a ton with the fumes and such but you may not have the same power at the same boost level. I always felt a big difference with and without my High flow cat.

High Angle modified knuckles cheap group buy

Hey guys, this is a group buy over on Zilvia.net. We only need 2 more people to pay so we can get our knuckles sent out. $135 for a pair with a $75 core charge which you get back when core is returned. They are normally $235 S13 or S14. They also have the inner and out tie rods to give you more angl...

Re: RTv2 no Consult

It's most likely a com port communication problem. I had a problem like this with nistune using a cheaper consult cable from europe. I ended up buying an ECU talk cable and directly wiring my consult connector into the ecu. The only thing I can recommend before buying a new cable is to delete your F...

Re: Tuning theories for maf systems

I'm sure you already know this. You will have to switch to an external gate to gain control of boost. Also the way the wastegate is mounted and angled also contributes to how effective a wastegate controlls boost.

Nistune now supports OBD2 ecu's

I went on Nistunes website to update my software and noticed that as of december 2013 they are now selling type 4 boards for 1995-1996 A32 Maxima, 1996 KA24DE and 1996 Z32 300ZX. Pretty cool that they are still doing development. Just wanted others to see this. No more converting over to 95 ecus. Al...

Looking good Aaron. I'm really enjoying the S14 with the turbo LS1. It's by far the fastest car I have ever driven. It's a nascar on steroids haha. Also I just finished installing a q45 3.54 rear end using 350z axles.

Re: How to rewire your fuel pump for max efficiency!

If your leaning out going WOT then its either the wiring to the fuel pump or the fuel pump itself going bad. Its common for the wiring to have a bad connection and dropping voltage. I like to redo the ground wire also. Great write-up btw.

Re: Spark blowout at 14psi

I don't think your coil will last very long with a constant 20v. I went through a few coils on my S14 using a boost a spark over a period of 2 years. I never was able to run any where near .40 gap but I also never ran less than 15lbs of boost on a holset he341. Sdaigle's chart of gap vs boost is wha...

Glad I could help you a bit Aaron. I've had better luck around 835 to 850 latency myself. http://i46.tinypic.com/fz2ijq.jpg I pulled this from a Reytec manual I found online a while back. Notice how the Reytec Tomei manual for the Sr20det supports my findings. Reytec ecu's are built off the oem ecu'...

Yes the ecutalk cable works great. Also make sure to wire your consult connector as close to the ecu as possible. My ecutalk cable works without any dropped communcation and I cut the consult connector from the drivers side and wired it 5 inches from the ecu.

Also for anyone reading this in the future with consult connection problems. It is best to rewire your obd1 consult connector directly into the ecu. Even that short distance from the passenger side to the drivers side can cause electrical interference. I have been using an ecutalk cable with this me...

Hey repotatoes what turbo are you running. The graph looks really close to my old S15 t28 turbo setup at 14psi with bc 264 cams and 9.0:1 Je pistons. But at that time my cams were just dropped in and shimmed correctly no jwt gears.

It seems the only way to figure this out is for you to data log the problem while its happening. N62 mafs are picky as hell but it still could be your ecu or some other underlying problem. Are you running an air filter while this is happening? I've seen afrs run extremely rich and erratic without a ...

You don't need the piggy back.Use this as a guideline to tune. Correctly tuning the K Constant and the injector latency is very important, it will affect the fueling behavior between the short injection pluse width and long injection pulse wdth. It is very important to temporary disable all the ECU ...

Yeah I thought whp was based off torque. At 7 psi your probably closer to 210-220 whp. Get some 550 or 740cc injectors and real means of tuning and turn that bad boy up to 15psi and it will shred some tires, Haha.
