So, what exactly are you using to tune it, and what injector size are you using?

A digital dash in a gauge sized package

DIYAutoTune.com is now carrying a digital dash that fits in the space of a conventional gauge! https://www.diyautotune.com/wp-content/uploads/PT-Can-ga.jpg It can display up to eight sensor readings at once. Plus, this gauge monitors almost all your ECU’s sensor readings, and can interrupt its displ...

If I were doing the install, I'd probably start with the MSPNP SR20DET tune scaled for your injector size.

Re: Water/Meth instead of ECU tune?

Easy enough, I have all of that! But you think I will still need to swap injectors with less than 7psi and water/meth? I was really hoping I could avoid that. If you want to optimize your fuel mileage, you'll need something capable of fully tuning the timing correctly anyway - simply backing off ti...

100 kPa is no boost, and 200 is 14.7 psi. So 270 would be 25 psi of boost.

Re: Megasquirt fuel & timing maps

Engines tend to be more linear in boost than out of it - and unless this is in a speedboat, they typically spend more time out of boost than in it. So I typically recommend dedicating 8 rows to 100 kPa or less, and 4 to the boost region - this typically gives better drivability. If you have it idlin...

You can either connect it to the options port or the O2 signal wire. Either way, you would use the analog signal output from the AEM, not the serial data.

Re: Megasquirt accel enrichment and in cooperate air fuel.

Big Lou did a good explanation of the Incorporate AFR Table feature. In short, you will want to tune the VE table first, then come back and tune the acceleration enrichment. The VE table is for the regular fueling, and needs to be correct - applying other modifiers on top of a bad VE table tune will...

If you are using a MegaSquirt, grab the timing map from the MSPNP base maps.

http://www.megasquirtpnp.com/mspnp2_maps.php

We didn't try translating the stock map into MegaSquirt format; they were generated by dyno tuning relatively stock engines.

It's usually not a big deal. A bigger deal is that I recommend grounding the LS1 coils to the cylinder head, separately from the ECU.

Re: Novice Ignition MAP kPa question

60 kPa would be idle vacuum on an aggressively cammed motor. Motors in less aggressive tune often will pull 40 kPa or lower, and you can often get the MAP to drop even lower if you lift off the throttle while cruising on the highway. I've seen some engines pull less than 20 kPa on the highway before.

Yes, but you'd give up swirl valve control (if you have a KA24E) and cooling fan control if running an electric fan.
