Re: BW S257SX-E 412WHP/383TQ @ 18.5#, 93Octane

RB25/26 was always my dream...as you can see my username is R34, and up to about a year and half ago I was planning it....I grew up watching my dad drive a 95 nissan laurel with an rb25de in south america ( badass car). But with the cost increases lately and knowing what a junkyard LS is capable of....

Re: BW S257SX-E 412WHP/383TQ @ 18.5#, 93Octane

I'm contemplating going with the 1.0ar just to see what difference it makes in top end power since low end torque doesn't seem to be much of an issue for you...I figure If it loses 300 rpm spool but can rev without loss to 7500 would be fantastic.....I have supertech valve train and tomei cams. My o...

So I just spoke to Jay over at full race, and after discussing my goals 400 to 450whp....he's suggesting a 1.0 Ar....he's says a .75 AR will net my goals just fine but power will fall after 6500rpm.....exactly what's happening to you.

Your parts, build, and thoughts seem to constantly mirror mine...I have the radium rail sitting on a shelf, but haven't run up the limit on my current 750s yet ( I'm sure the new setup will)..ATI damper is my current priority , I'd be interested to see what the cam gears do for you....I degreed my c...

Re: BW S257SX-E 412WHP/383TQ @ 18.5#, 93Octane

Close to ordering my S257, I just realized you never got a chance to test your .82 AR housing with your twin scroll manifold....granted I assume you didn't have a twin scroll housing on the .82 setup correct? Just wondering if your power is falling off up top because the housing is too small or if i...

Yea Its your dyno sheets that are forcing me to get rid of my holset hx35 .63 ar setup.....somehow your setup with that bigger turbo is breaking 200wtq before I am!....my manifold won't be ready for weeks/months I assume, so when I go back to Florida I'll try to put a solid tune on the hx35 setup an...

Tanks man but I"ve made a few downpipes so far and I've gotten pretty comfy with it so I'll save $400 right there...not attempting a manifold anytime soon though. Would you say you very much prefer the smaller AR setup? I have 272 cams and response is important.

Re: Best T3 manifold for the money?

Also I wanted to add, I feel like when I started with the ka it was always about value, I couldn't afford an rb25 and I was always trying to find the best bang for my buck....I think the majority of ka owners are like this....but it's a double edged sword. Because of that same mentality alot of manu...

Re: Best T3 manifold for the money?

Pulled the trigger on the full race manifold today...maperformance.com sold me one for $1240+tax, free shipping and a free hoodie....I did it because I don't believe full race will make these much longer and I know support for the ka is pretty much dead esp in the manifold department. T2 buy a tomei...

Mind you, I did that gauge cluster like 8 years or so back.
Everything still works flawlessly ...speedhut stuff is great, lifetime warranty is nice too.

Re: CC White bunny throw out bearing

Touches, I just rather grind a little material off the shifter itself than scuff up my nice trim. And yes , the sheer size and weight of the tranny def gives me confidence to bang some shifts....can't wait to test it out when I get back to fl.

What you fellas think? Personally I'm not a big fan of the front end, but I must give nissan credit for developing this vehicle 100% on their own. The fact that it has a manual transmission is shocking and welcomed. I doubt it will be a supra fighter just based on the transmission but at least it sh...

We all preach to do it once and do it right the first time....but we all say that now because we made the same mistakes in the past. Only time I don't spend money on quality parts now is because I can afford to play with cheaper stuff just to see if it's any good....but it comes at the cost of more ...

Sorry I was driving from FL to Cali. I do have xcessive lowering mount brackets and gk tech urethane mounts. Mine are not slotted. Lol yea I swapped the 3" aluminum shaft, j30 vlsd + axles on day one like 12 years ago when I bought the car....it was an auto so I figured I'd do the entire drivetrain one shot when swapped in the manual tranny.....good times... Paid $150 for a sr20 trans, $90 for a j30 diff and axles and $260 for ...

That's a solid powerband, pretty much what I'm looking for....I'm gonna try with my cheap obx manifold first and also my hx35 with .63 rear end.....won't be surprised if I can't flow enough to get there tho.

Re: Hitting a wall at 4500rpm [SOLVED]

Glad you got it sorted... As for your timing, .look at a full ignition timing map for stock ka24de.....IIRC it commands somewhere around 28 to 30 degrees of timing in the higher rpm/ high load section for NA setup. That's where you start to pull 1 degree for every psi of boost you make for a ball pa...

Is that a typo where you said you are retarding one degree per psi but yet you posted 15 degrees for 5 psi?? If that means your running 10 degrees at 10 psi.... Your ignition timing is extremely retarded. When I'm doing a ballpark tune for low boost on the street to get my fuel maps right, I pull on...
