Re: GTX3576R .83AR too big?
Don't go smaller than a t3 housing.
I have a s257sxe and I'm pretty happy with it , but there are days I wonder if I should have went s252 also.....with how cheap they are , you can buy both for the price of one g30-770.....I won't lie...I'd like to try a g30 though

Re: Does Xcessive manifold really kill torque?
To bring back a 10+ year old thread, I'm at the point im making about 400tq/400hp on my S257sxe and have heard the issues of the head lifting due to head stud washer issues after 400is tq.. I'm lazy to address the actual issue before going for more power so instead I'll be installing an intake manif...

I can't comment on that, but I can say I have their 272 cams.
Degreed them out of the box and they were dead on point... Didn't even need adjustable gears.... Excellent idle quality too.. Can't even tell.

Re: Cool new intake manifold and future plans
That's part of the reason I'm converting.... But I have no abs sensors in place.... My car was a factory auto/non abs. But that's future plans... I gotta decide on a ECU platform... So far I'm really liking the features and software layout of ecumasters EMU black but Link and haltech also in the run...

Well guys I know there aren't many of the OGs still on here that even read this stuff... But it was always the home that I learned so much from so I'll keep posting here for the few that still do. That said... I feel like the KA is starting to have a bit of a revival with many companies making new p...

Lol, looking back now at how rare these parts have gotten... Yea I do feel a little bad.. But the Z32 box has been fantastic so far... I'm gonna turn up To 23 psi next time im home..Hopefully the head don't lift.... If it does... Rebuild with bigger studs and head washers, haltech or link ECU then e...

Re: Q45 differential info. UPDATED!!!!
I did mine over 10 years ago I barely remember the details.
Fairly sure I have a 93 j30 vlsd 3.93 ratio and running 6 bolt j30 axles.. I did a 5 lug conversion at the same time and I think i did a Non abs s14 one piece drive shaft to make it all work.... 10 yrs+ works great.

I'm very interested in the new pedals that wilwood and chase bays sells to address our pedal ratio when deleting the brake booster.... I tried my braking system without a booster... And it was straight garbage. However I'm sure I can get great balance and feel with the correct pedal ratio... Thinkin...

Photo bucket ***** everything up, and I have no documents of how I had it setup in the past. I can tell you that it's pretty straightforward if you are doing wasted spark. What will confuse you is the firing order 1342 Iirc spark output A from the MS ECU goes to cyl 1 and cyl 4 coil and B goes to cy...

**** I broke 3 gearboxes making less than 300tq.
No launches, no power shifting and you can make them last a bit though.
Eventually z32 or z33 box is the way to go.

Car has been running really well for a while now since fixing my alternator issues. Now I've been focusing on improving the cars overall feel, stability and steering. Thanks man, stupid alternator tensioner bolt backed out and lost my belt today during a very enjoyable drive.. Luckily I was able to get home before the batt died.... Yea the way the car feels right now its like it's begging me for 25 psi... But I'm fighting the urge.

Today was monumental for me... Been wanting 400whp for a long time but we all know how life goes. This morning after driving the car at 14 ish psi for a few weeks and feeling confident all systems were working I decided it's time for 18ish psi... Did about an hour of street tuning, and finally lande...

So even though this worked, seems like i damaged the regulator from running without the resistor for too long....thats my current assumption...i cant believe how simple yet frustrating this charging system has been.

Thought I'd share, the alternator and voltage seemed fine for all of 45 MI s of driving then the voltages started to read high 14.9 to 15v....then it just stopped charging all together, ilet the car cool for 30 mins... And everything went back to normal... Seems like once the car heats up the voyage...

Well I wired it up with the charge light to ignition power, and the other line Direct to the alternator + stud...so far all seems well.inram completely new lines since I have aftermarket gauge cluster. Appreciate the insight though, and if it fails again I'll try the resistor.
