I have thought about just unplugging the speed sensor, but not having an odometer would bug me bigtime! I can see the possibility of having a temporary switch that you can enable at will, but in my case (with 80mph actual speed being top speed at the moment due to gearing which reads at 100mph) some...

D22 Frontier ECM Question: S14 swappable? Speed governor :(
I know the gurus here have the answer I'm looking for. I've recently swapped an '89 Pathfinder rear end with LSD and 4.6 gears into my '02 Frontier Ka24de 5speed... ...annnnd now with the shorter gearing, 80mph actual speed reads as 100mph on the speedo and triggers the speed governor! http://i205.p...

that sounds weird, hard to believe.. Yep, just checked rockauto.com... totally different design. Changed from a directionally threaded shaft to a threaded sleeve!! Compete redesign. Requires that you buy the new design outers, pitman and idlers, and linkage. Well, maybe it will firm up the steering...

Try rockauto.com they have a picture of allot of the parts. If there is not one, call, one of the best customer service around. Worse comes to worse order from the year before and year after too and return the ones that don't work. Cool- I'll try them as well... I already spent about 8 hours at the...

suspension question: did Nissan quit making tie-rod-ends??
Ok, I'm going nuts: I broke an outer tie-rod-end while installing my Belltech drop spindles... "no problem," I thought, "I'll just pick one up for $30 at the parts store!" right?? Nope. The part they have listed is completely different!! It has a ball joint with a threaded sleeve...

Weeeelllll, My it's my brother's car. He says he was coming in just a little faster than he normally does to this corner. (it's an off-camber right hander) He tried to scrub some speed, and the front right brake locked. you can see where he pumped it to get it to unlock, but it was too late- underst...

sooo... i got a truck... what of it.
Hi evybody. I've had hardbodys for years and finally transitioned to Frontier a couple years ago... Lots of time with the KA motors... Built 3 S13's with my brother as well as an 86.... All the 240's have been SR powered, so the KAs from them have been parts gifts for my trucks! http://i205.photobuc...

Well, the 240 stocker is waay shorter than the truck version, and I think i remember the inlet, outlet ports being located a little different... You could make it work, but the truck stock unit is larger and probably more efficient anyway- If you can get your hands on a Koyo unit, it would be worth ...

Couldn't figure it out- motor sounded really loud and the lifter tap that I've always had sounded like a freakin jackhammer! long story short, i happened to find an access hole in the passenger side floorboard u...
