Re: Now that I have my wideband wired in.. need some feedbac
What afr's should I be looking for in boost, the car is only on 5psi so I was thinking I should be aiming for the 11.7-12.1 range ?? In boost, a good afr is between 11 and 12. I was thinking since I'm on so little boost I could keep it a little leaner like around 12.0, I want to make as much power ...

lol its all good. great s/n btw  you don't have to get a diff out of a j30. i know some s14's came stock with lsd and they have the standard 6 bolt axles. i think its the SE model. no new axles necessary you just have to swap the diff cover. put your s13 cover on the s14 cover throw it in and ...

Now that I have my wideband wired in.. need some feedback
I wired up my PLX wideband this weekend, I have it sending a narrowband readout to the ECU. My afr's seem about right for idle. It's at about 14.5-16.1 while it's cold and when it fully warmed up it cycles between 13.6-14.6. When I free rev it (just going to the top of vacuum) I get afr's cycling fr...

You should ask the person you bought it from what size injectors they were using with the tune. Also you should stick to a similar turbo to the one they used. That way your AFR's are as close as possible. I would fine tune it with a SAFC or some other piggy-back and wideband. but thats just my 2 cen...

you can use their tunes, but you will need an emanage or SAFC to tweak it. Oh and time  I don't have a mail order type tune, My car is being tuned on Emanage :D I figured it would cause the tune to be thrown off since air readings at the maf would more accurate. This is exactly why I want to r...

A malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator wouldnt cause your car not to start unless it was completely choking and not delivering any fuel or delivering way too much fuel to ignite.. I'd rule out the fpr as they are pretty reliable I've never heard of one going bad on it's own (I'm sure you could abu...

sorry for the thread jack, but is it ok to run a blow thru setup with out a bov? I suspect it won't be good for your turbo. And air might travel in reverse as it tries to escape through the turbo. Could throw off your readings when you make boost and then let off the throttle. I'd just get a bov if...

Blow-thru setup
Is anybody running a blow-thru setup with the stock s14 maf? My car is only on 5 pounds of boost and I think it would benefit from a blow through setup. I would have to change my intercooler pipes and have welding done to accommodate a recirc bov so why not switch to a blow-thru and leave the bov op...

maybe your car has the walbro 'hard-wired' in. If there is a relay the stock fuel pump power lines might be triggering the relay, which get power straight from the battery to the fuel pump. Marko With that being said how is everyone else wiring their units in? If there are 2 main wires, one for pow...

its only 2 wires use the supplied crimps I have a walboro installed on my car and theres 4 wires going to a relay. I bought the car with it installed and I was looking for a more simply way to wire it in as it is now hard wired to a switch.. Knowing the number of wires doesn't help much if you don'...
