Kern County CA fears....
Ok so I thought this would be the best place to ask this. This is mainly directed to the Cali guys. I currently live in a nice part of PA that has no emissions inspection. I'm building a mild/medium KAT for my 240. The car is 8.8:1 compression, forged rods/pistons, bored .020" over, you guys kn...

I was planning on cutting the opening for the sump anyway. You reccomend an aluminum tank versus the plastic one? I know I want a foam filled tank over an open volume one, just for fuel control. I want to apologize for calling this car a DD and confusing some of you. I guess it is more of a street l...

The stock tank is gone. The idea is to either remove the tire well or lower the entire trunk floor. I need room for my unique exhaust to pass under the car so I can't lower it too far. I will more than likely be putting in a rear firewall, but the car is a DD so I'm not too concerend with passing a ...

Ok, the 45psi is what I needed. I checked the sending unit and through one of the other forums I am on I found out the stock sending signal is (pulling this off the top of my head here) 4ohms empty and 86ohms full, and this tank shows 0ohms empty and 90ohms full. So I will end up showing empty befor...

So back on the subject of the build.... Clear coated my crank pulley(s) today. So far the WP and Crank pulleys are clear coated after getting sand blasted. I'm trying to decide if I should clear the power steering pulley or paint it black after the pulley showed a strange pattern during sand blastin...

Fuel Cell setups.
Ok guys. Here is an odd question. I plan on running a racing fuel cell in my trunk instead of the factory gas tank. I've been looking at the cells they offer at Summit racing and found one I like. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-290108/ Here is the issue. I was informed by a friend that the ta...

The 99 GT was the first year with a worthwhile 4.6 in it. My Mach actually came stock with the 4.6DOHC motor. Essentially an improved 2001 Cobra bottom end with 03-04 Cobra top end, minus the SC of course. I'm putting down 295whp 318wtq. My goal for the 240 is more WHP and 300-400lbs lower weight. ...

Damm not a ford guy at all but some damm nice cars. My buddy had a pretty sweet mach 1 (blue) stock internals, had some rear end gear work and a little bit of spray, and it ran freakin hard. Now for the 240, nice coupe, good find and nice project. Although im just throwing it out there, I hope late...

Ok back from getting a sandwich.... Anyway where was I? So at this point of the build I had ditched my idea of swapping in an SR. I had originally planned on an SR but after looking deeper into them and finding out that there are MORE S13s running SRs than seem to be KA powered cars. I was pla...

From Fords to this??
So I decided its time to post up a "build thread" on here. Most of this will mainly be pics of the motor being assembled as I haven't been able to buy my turbo gear yet. Hopefully soon though. First a little background since my intro thread was so long ago. I have been working on cars sinc...

you never mentiond radiator cap. or thermostat. if you did i just missed it HA the thermostat is really the only thing that keeps the engine cool, the fans and radiator help but the thermostat keeps the coolant at a cetin temp. obove that it opens beblow that it closes. I was planning on running a ...

If your engine is already torn down, and you are replacing parts, if you EVER plan on going bigger in the numbers game, I'd take the time and save up for some high quality forged parts. I believe in do it right once, and build for your max plans the first time around. In the long run its cheaper to ...

Noob Cooling System question......
Ok, so I havent posted up on here in a while because I havent really had time to even work on my car. However the point is comming to finally assemble everything and get it running... My car is a 1993 Coupe, going to be running a Silvia K's nose with the slat grill. My concern however is c...

Nelson, I called nissan and all they can get me is a part number. No specs at all. If I wanted specs Id have to buy OEM bolts then measure them. I really dont have the cahs nor want to buy bolts Ill never use. Killab, I have an S13 KA24DE I need the specs for the S14 motor. This is the issue in a nu...
