Re: portuguese 240 ka

nice build, like looking at these international ka-t builds. as far as the blue smoke, check engine compression, should tell u if piston or valve is bad. if compression is good, then the turbo may be bad.

yeah, by installing a crank position sensor you should be able to delete the cam signal. the ecu just needs to know where the piston is at for it to fire. it can be gotten from either distributor or crank.but if you do so from crank, you will have to weld a gear into it and then run a COP setup. som...

excessive manufacturing sells a windage tray for ka's, this might help with the cornering and what not. i myself have had 2 rodknock engines, usually the 3rd goes out first. no main bearings just rod bearings.

from what i've read around. import injectors are usually 11mm and domestic injectors are 14mm. more than likely you have domestic injectors which then would be 14mm. you can check the part number of the injector on precision's website, it'll let ya know if its sport compact/import or if its domestic.

the bolt pattern for the pressure plates are different between 350z and ka, not the same lenght. i have a flywheel that fits both ka and 350z clutches that i got from competition clutch and there's deff a difference.

that should work just fine, don't really need the other lines as those are for the heater core, i've blocked those off before due to the heater core busting open and leaking.

the rest of the motor is still getting cooled.

rod knock is audible usually between 2500-3500 rpm and can be heard either neutral or under load.

could be your timing chain tensioner going out making the chain slap around

don't put anything in there as that can get out and possibly get into your input shaft and clutch. i believe the brass bearing is self lubed and will go easy in there, i would sugest using the clutch alignment tool to push it in as that wont deform it like using a socket or something like that. and ...

if you have a 96-98(obdII) S14 then there is at least 1 that you need to keep, mainly the MAP sensor(obd2's have a map sensor, located on the pass side strut tower). the others are for the charcoal canister and evap, those aren't needed.
