My Datsun has been at the fabricators since Oct 27th, 2011. Now being Nov 10th, 2012, I've gotten mildly bored. Graduated Robotics and Automation in August and have been working full time since, so have some extra budget for the car :D This was my garage at old home (just got a new house last week),...

SMBONN - I've already sold the L20B crank to a buddy for his L-series motor build. You can get them @ RockAuto.com for $143 - under Nissan, 1976 710 - http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2754506 It is cheaper to go through RockAuto then to get straight from manufacturer CrankshaftSupply....

Also, Supakat, your link for the 1994 Q45 is wrong, should be:

Don't be confused with the PSI of the compressor, thats basically standard. What's the SCFM of the unit you're looking at? If its anything under 5 @ 90psi, its not worth it if you're going to run an impact. That 2135TiMAX is a solid gun. I have a Blue Point and a SnapOn, and would highly recommend e...

I have a Z33 transmission and a KA auto bellhousing and I've been designing my own adapter plate. It's not a simple line up the holes and drill like other adapter plates - there are bearing surfaces and oil galleries that need to be incorporated into the adapter plate. When I finish my design I'll m...

The "X-beam" was first designed in the '50's for aircraft engines, and is basically inferior to the I and H beam designs. I'm not sure why Pauter keeps them around or why people still buy them. Pauter rods aren't actually an X-Beam. They are a + shape. Something like a Howard's X beam is ...

1/3hp and 3 gallon will get you nowhere with an impact. The impact you chose is a 3/4" drive, and you'll probably need a new set of sockets. 1/2" drive is the way to go for S-chassis work. It also requires 7cfm. The compressor you chose does: ■Air delivery: 0.6 SCFM at 90 PSI, 1 SCFM at 40...

My other thread - viewtopic.php?t=52121

Full boost at 5500 is not proper. Starting to spool at 3800 is not proper. A TD06-17c should be hitting full boost by like 3200-3500 on a KA.

That gasket leak sounds alot worse than it seems you think it is.

That just means your turbo setup wasn't properly thought out / set up. You should be able to hit full boost by 3200ish and hold it up to the KA's redline. Look through tech advanced I have a thread about fully counterweighted crank with *POSSIBLE* redline of 9000+, but you have to have a fairly in d...

Hey guys, kind of a dumb question but is there any reason that the KA is on an angle aside from clearance on the IM side of things?
