Change your spark plugs too. I use one of the vac lines from the manifold rather then the tb. Glad you got it solved.

DO NOT USE the nismo roller bearing. It requires a lot of maintenance. Only race prepped cars that have their trans regularly taken off should run it. It requires it to be greased or it will rust and cease up then eat away at your trans shaft. It also gives no significant gains over a brass pilot. I...

If it just fell out like that I wouldn't feel safe reusing it. That seems like it was pressed in. If it's loose then don't reuse it and buy new top hats. If it's not take it apart and bring it to a shop to get pressed in again.

The car use to drop to 10 for a second when blimping the throttle then run high 11s when in boost. I drove around the block with the blow thru and it barely drops past 13

Use to idle at 14-15 and switched to 16-17. Never boosted it. Wouldn't of been smart to boost it when it was that lean.

bump from the dead. Do we need to take the mesh off the maf? Also I'm on a tuned ecu that runs great. When I switched to blow thru, it leaned out 16-17 @idle. Is it safe to correct this with a safc?

Good info. Thanks!

p00t Do you have a write up? I'm not sure where to tap.

I guess i have to redo the whole water line set up.

Which side is the water coming in from on the TB? PASS side or Driver side ?

Don't have a gauge for the water or oil temp yet. But does not pass the half way line on the stock cluster. Cruising AF is 14-15 usually around 14.4-14.8

Turbos getting too hot?

Recently sent my turbo to Turbos Direct in TX. They had their techs open the turbo up to inspect it. The guy calls me and tells me the turbos getting too hot and he said to get it better cooled or it wont last another 1500 miles. I daily the car but not far and rarely push the car. Here's my routine...

Stock is fine for that power. If anything remove all the evac stuff from intake manifold and port match and polish the head and intake.

skies the limit.

Depends on your budget and time.

I would replace any seals I can (front, rear main seals, head gasket)
Install new timing components
Oil pump
Water pump
ARP hardware would be a plus.

I would go with the 255/40/17 I have and love the star specs. I've had the federal ss595 before. Star specs has better dry traction. Wet traction star specs suck for me. I wouldn't go with anything bigger then 255 width though you'll start getting this fold over feeling. I had 275/40 on the rear wit...

Don't get me wrong. I like Cometic. They've been doing their thing for a long time and they have been good at it too. So has Cosworth, I wouldn't compare Cosworth's diagram to something like the taste test Geico commercials. I'm pretty sure no one takes those seriously... I 100% agree Cometic failur...

There's a diagram at the bottom. I've done a decent amount of reading. There's a lot of horror stories with cometic. Most people just go with the felpro which is enough for a big part of the ka-t crowd

Forgot where I seen it. But I will go look for it. Cosmetic HG are good only if the surface is flat and also the surface finish effects it a lot.

it is proven cosworth hg seals a lot better then cosmetic. They have a rolled seam or something and seals a lot better then the cosmetic. Get it if you can afford it, Or run felpro

Even though I will be having a raised hood I think with the adapter it will still hit. That thing adds a good 2"+ I might just cut 3 sides where the flange and collector meet and pull it up and weld plates where there's a gap. I figure i need like 1" or so to get it to fit right... what do...
