I run conventional cheapo 10/30. Hold the car at 3000rpm's for 5 mins, drain it, new filter, throw in my good oil and go for a rip. The initial start up is going to produce a lot of fine steel particulate, it only takes a few minutes for the rings to break, then you want to get new oil in there to g...

I think its the tune, I was well over 300hp at 18psi with a stock block and cam. I cant imagine how far off the tune would be to give such low numbers, like is this guy tuning for 8:1 AF's at WOT? If the timing was excessively retarded, it wouldnt idle or cruise properly. Im tempted to think the ca...

Post some engine bay pics, Id be interested to see some more detail of your setup, maybe you're missing something that would be obvious to someone else.

Have you double checked your cam timing to make sure your cam isnt off a tooth?

Get a 2871R if you want spool and to still be able to hit 400whp. If you want spool and to reach a peak hp, size your turbo so that the smallest turbo possible with reach your peak hp goal, you should end up with prime spool this way. Having run 50 and 57 trims followed with the JDM sport GT35 and G...

Although I think your numbers are extremely low for the boost and turbo you're running. Dont get too hung up on the actual dyno figure. You might only dyno 300whp on one dyno, but you could dyno 400 on another. I know a guy locally running a Precision 50 trim @ 18psi that made 420whp with the factor...

Im running the exact same pump without this problem. Infact at idle when the revs drop I can still hear the tensioner going a bit slack. Maybe when the pressure relief was installed the spring got hung up on something and you're over pressuring something. Is there a chance one of your oil galleries ...

Are you running E85? Those injectors are about 3X too big if you arent. You should be good with 60lb injectors up to 400whp.

1. Get on the dyno. 2. Tune your AF's to 11.5 @ WOT. 3. Advance your WOT timing until the power plateaus. 4. Back off the timing a couple degrees. 5. Tell us how much power you're making. If you arent making enough power after you've completed steps 1-5, increase boost and repeat. Dont go over 20psi...

Assuming your tunes are similar, technically the only limiting factor once the blocks are build is the head studs, so you should both peak at around the same HP before you're lifing the head. However, the DOHC will flow better than the SOHC with stock cams, so you might have to run 2-3 more psi to m...

Pretty much.

The OEM ecu knows fuel pressure, airflow, throttle position, temperature, extremely hi/low exhaust o2s and ignition timing. The stock tune is very conservative so it doesnt really need a knock sensor.

Disconnect the wastegate so you dont build any boost. 7lbs will blow a bottom end regardless of RPM's. If you install those injectors without a tune, you wont even be able to run your car, dont even try. What do you mean by disconnect the wastegate? If you take the boost reference off that is more ...
