Did you try running more or less pressure in the system? More isnt always better

Yeah ive had great luck with most of the consult software.. ecutalk is actually my fav for datalogging.

Make sure you turn up your baud rate on the serial port in the device manager... with the default speed its very laggy, huge difference with the speed turned up

Re: Realistic 450hp+ Build Help.

Awesome to have real numbers for these things. Was it on stock fuel pressure? I just got an adjustable FPR, i will be looking for an e85 compatible upgrade for my walbro in a while.

The walbro 450lph e85 compatible is 138 shipped with the 'install kit' on ebay.. not bad

Re: Realistic 450hp+ Build Help.

Im thinking 720s will be good for more like 350 on corn.. Add 30% to your injector size that an online calculator tell you. You need some monster injectors for huge power. You can turn up the fuel pressure for a little more out of them too. The walbro255 will supposedly max out around the same time ...

I dont know if its helpful but the DOHC has a TTP Min and max area that would effect the min/max pulsewidth at certain load points

Too bad about the pistons, the scuffing on all top corners indicates it got hot (duh) or the bore was undersized

ARP head/main studs/rod bolts can be reused indefinitely... the stock hardware is torque to yield unlike the ARP hardware.

Re: Is CDI ignition worth it?

I heard the stock coil is actually stronger than the blaster SS coil at stock voltages.. The advantage of the blaster coil is that you can run more voltage (16-20v) with the MSD ignition box or boost a spark and at that point the coil will be putting out a super hot spark and still live. I was havin...

Re: boost on felpro head bolts?

Yeah i got up to about 10-14 and lifted the head with e85 and a bunch of timing. This was with head bolts that were reused at least twice

For the cost of the head bolts (20-40) i'd rather put it towards head studs (80) since they dont torque to yield and can be reused

Yeah the valves can stick open, esp on the cheaper wastegates.. worth a check. Just pop it off and you should see the valve seated in there. Could you have left the wastegate fire ring off when you took the turbo off? Its the valve seal for the wastegate

You need to put that gromet in there rather than just RTV. Im sure RTV will hold up for a bit, but its under 60+psi which is a lot for RTV sealing against a semi flat surface

They could be for the truck or altima version of the KA, dont forget they include extra things that you wont necessarily use... Maybe someone else will chime in. I have rebuilt quite a few KAs and as far as i can remember the distributor and fuel system are the only things that use O rings. Maybe em...

You could try it but verify with a wideband just like any other setup... 370s with a stock setup should get you close but i dont think anyone on here had done it

Timing looks pretty close

You could make a new knock sensor sub harness, since thats the part that goes out... its always better to keep the knock sensor working if you can
