Idk, i think drifting is comparably more inexpensive than road racing, autocross would probably be the most inexpensive. As said, events are cheaper (and more frequent/ more locations available) than road racing. If you're not incredibly serious as daigle stated, cheap used tires to burn are really...

Did someone just call drifting cheap? IMO drifting is the most expensive form of motorsports out there. I have no idea why people think its cheap. Nothing is more harsh on a motor, more abusive to tires and suspension and no form of racing is as prone to writing off a shell... drifting is fun,...

Its running rich as heck. You wont be able to drive around with 450s and a stock maf without any tuning what so ever. Just wont happen. You're probably idling with 5:1 AF's and washing out your cylinders. Dont run the car until you get atleast an S-AFC and wideband.

This is why I dont drift. Tires are expensive. Spend some time on some "gripper" sites like S2Ki, they spend $200/tire and concider this a cheap tire. You gotta pay to play. Just being on KA-T should reflect your ability to spend 3-4K on a motor setup, if you cant see the value in spending...

It had always been my practice to use a -3 line with no restrictor, and I never had a problem before. But having cooked 2 precision T3T4's, I had to look into the issue a bit more. Although it could have been an oiling problem, other turbo's were fine so i probably would just avoid precision in the ...

I was denied warantee on my precision turbo because I used a restrictor. According to the Precision techs, you should use a -4 line with NO restrictor with all bushing turbo's. The turbo needs oil flow to keep the center cool. If you add a restrictor to solve a smoking problem, you arent re-seating ...

Dropping the perches shouldnt effect stiffness. Spring rate determines how hard the ride is going to be, if you're preloading the springs enough to increase ride stiffness you are going to damage your shocks, you shouldnt put that much negative force on them. Automotive shocks do not have negative t...

Just wrap the threads in black duct tape. For how often you actually adjust them, you can just peal the tape off and put new tape.

You could replace most of the bolts on the motor if you just ordered M6X1 and M8X1.25 bolts in a 20mm length. As for the bigger ones, you'd have to pull them off 1 by 1 and match them. I personally wouldnt bother with the bigger ones though.

I can pull the sub frames, strip them and powder coat them and all that really costs is time and a bit of material. Ordering coilovers, wheels or forged internals will have to wait though :)

For what they're charging, its total BS. For this quality level, id expect these to sell for less than $200.

You could easily go over the manifold with a welder and buzz up all the little problems, but for $300 you shouldnt have to.
