I agree with him, I had mine tested over a year ago showing 155-160ish psi. Tested recently with new gauge showed 178-180 psi across the board. Try a newer gauge.

Regarding your belt slippage, I have been considering trying to find a flat backside idler pulley with lips on the edges to prevent the belt trying to move like that. Not sure if it will work as I want it to though. Also I have a straight slotted idler pulley bracket that would require a crowbar to ...

Porting your s/c ?

Alright I have been looking around and I havent been able to find much info on people porting their s/c. I guess my first question is have any of you done it? And if so what were the results, maybe pics? I am debating whether or not I should get mine ported prior to install since I have a lot of tim...

Well unless the SOHC pulley system is different, us DOHC guys can run a 4-rib belt, since thats what the alternator pulley is. Just a minor detail.

Actually the m62 should be a 6-rib pulley. As for what belt to use I've heard you need to get the proper length serpentine belt and simply cut off the extra ribs to make it fit.

That looks exactly like the refurbished one I bought with the same packaging and came with new gaskets. Paid $550 since I didn't have a core, looks like a good deal.

Ahh i see it now, still need to do that to mine. Any idea if you have to disassemble/clean the s/c after it to keep from getting metal shavings inside?

Wish me luck

After daily driving my car for 9 years I am finally going to go boosted. It seems like everyone has some sort of turbo motor under the hood of their 240 which is a big reason why I wanted do go supercharged. I may love nissans and japanese cars but I also appreciate what the domestic cars have done ...

Yeah from what I understand if you are wanting to run an intercooler setup you are going to lose the main advantage of the s/c, instant boost. I am not familiar with exactly how the SOHC intake manifold is setup but that would be your best bet. And as for your adapter plate you need to trace out the...

While I don't have any first hand experience with a s/c KA I have been reading and researching a TON since I just purchased my m62. I would be damn surprised to see one put more than 240rwhp short of water injection/intercooling. Even with those, it seems there is a limited potential, at least with ...

Keep in mind from all the setups I have seen it looks like the s/c is only going to be utilizing a 4 rib belt, while the pulley on the s/c is 6 rib. So it might require more belt contact to be able to pull off higher boost. But this is just speculation on my part.
