sorry. I didn't mean to mean K20.

Anyhow.

Have you calculated your mean piston speed with the ratio?

Where are you pulling your vacuum from?

It is definitely not supposed to activate @ idle. You would make no boost pressure.

Are you using a boost controller?

What spring pressure did you purchase?

Sorry to bump an old thread.

When torquing down the ARP rod bolts to the correct torque specifications, I'm under the impression that they stretch.

Are they re-usable after the initial torque down to see if the rods are out of round?

I think there are three components in your catch can. There will be Gas, Water *hopefully not much*, and Oil. The whole point of the restrictior is to prevent the flooding of the cylinder head due to increased oil pressure. I've been googling more about it and some say that it is only a 'patch'. I'l...

Timing Sprocket on the crankshaft

Hi All I have the BC fully counter-weighted crankshaft. It does not come with the timing chain sprocket. I haven't taken a look at the FSM yet but how do I go about removing the sprocket from my old crankshaft and putting it on the new crankshaft, shaft? Should I play it safe and return to the machi...

Cylinder Head Oil Restrictor

Does anyone run cylinder head oil restrictors? I notice that we push a lot of oil and I don't think clearing out my catch can occasionally is beneficial. It is difficult to gauge the amount of oil to be put back/filled up. I've just been reading up a lot of articles on motoiq and I wanted to pop the...

Since we're talking about oil gauges. Is the difference between an analog and an electric one that much of a variable? I have Autometer Analogue Gauges. I looked back into your old photos. How old was your short block? I noticed that the oil plugs were not replaced. Would that have something to do w...

Short Block & Engine Build parts Storage

Hey All I had my short block cleaned, deck'ed, bored to the proper specifications. I'm still collecting other parts for the build so i'd like to ask you all as to how I can properly store the short block. So far I've sprayed.. drenched the block with WD-40 in a plastic bag. I've sprayed it down a co...

My target is 570 @ the crank with a gt35r on 20psi,

The crank is stock stroke purchased from one of the OG's on the site. Wish we had titanium rods... I'm using eagle ones.. heavy as hell.
