Whats the deal with the PCV hose, I likey. It looks like cotton braded hose or something? It's black braided hose from Summit Racing...connects both valve cover and PCV outlet (straight fitting) to a 2-port Moroso vented catch can (baffled) Very clean setup. I love seeing quality work. honestly you cant say 23 psi is to much when it depends on the tune . Tune is everything to a engine + i run methanol injection... It is too much on 93 octane along unless you: a) like having an air gap between your head and your block b) like running single digit timing but now that you mention yo...

Re: need some advice on my new turbo purchase !

dude, 23 psi on 93 octane is WAY too much...that head won't hold long on the block at that level...you won't see too many KA's making 600 whp at 23 psi...

i could just toss in another stock block and roll the dice.. but that would suck if it cracks again. Like i said im not the first guy to crack one. making 70-800whp on the dyno is one thing.. but to have the car in that power band for the whole 1/4 mile is hard on it. I completely understand your s...

Brad, will you be street driving your car any? If not and you are all 100% drag, then I was going to suggest just hard-blocking (grout filling) your engine (even without a sleeve)...that should be keep the cylinder walls durable under extreme pressure...but then again if it's a street car, then you'...

Re: Sleeved block

don't switch motors...the RB26 has inherent design flaws (as I'm sure you know) that you'll have to accomodate for when building a motor for this level too...and when it comes down to it, the KA setup will be cheaper in the long run. i'm wondering if yours was just an isolated problem or if your cyl...

NPD, what modern "smart" ignition coils (S2000, 350z, etc) would be long enough for the spark plug holes and would offer the best fitment and hood clearance? I can't remember exactly, but you tapped your valve cover or welded on a plate to secure your coils in place right?

which meth kit are you going with? some of them have an external wire/ground that can be used to trigger a solenoid or could possibly be wired into your AEM as an input. That would probably be more reliable than AEM depending on the data/temp from the AIT sensor to dish out more timing/less fuel to ...

Hey something I think you might want to know I just found out today. what kind of timing numbers are you running in wide open throttle from full boost to redline?

I'm assuming the NGK equivalents are the same over there, but I would definitely use a minimum heat range 7 plug for what you are doing...6 is too "hot".

sounds like you got the correct mechanical parts to keep the head on the block under ideal conditions, but even beyond that, you can still have head lifting if you are running too much timing, have lean spikes, not enough octane, too hot of plugs, high IAT's, heatsoaking, etc. How is this thing tune...

the "ebay" unit I was talking about that shared the same bolt pattern as the Q45 throttle body was made by "KU Engineering"...it had a blue anodized finish.
