I started a thread May 2010 on the ECCS forum asking for interest in running a KA24E with a 16bit ECU and TunerCode and didn't get enough interest to justify a full development. There are quite a few code mods necessary to make it work.

ECCS 16bit on KA24E Thread

In this case, TP stands for Theoretical Pulse, which is proportional to the calculated injector pulse width necessary to produce an AFR of 14.7. This value (TP) is an integer used as the load scale in the fuel and timing maps shown in your screen shot.

The stock ECU definitely uses this method to stabilize idle. It uses 2 separate tables, one to retard timing when idle speed is too high, and another to advance timing when idle speed is too low. These tables combined perform exactly the same function as the "Ign vs. Idle RPM table" pictur...

The board hardware and supporting firmware are still in development. When that part is done and tested functionally, then environment testing can begin. Please be patient as John and I will keep everyone updated with our progress.

Price will be extremely competitive, unsurpassed "bang-for-the-buck". Fan control, launch control, and many other new features included. The pic is just to let everyone know that it's on the way. Details WILL be forthcoming.

This is kinda along the same line as what you guys are doing but I want to find out what I need to add a pre-tuned chip to my ecu. I don't think I need Calum or Nistune or anything like that, I just want to be able to run a rom tuned chip in my ecu. Do I need a " daughter board" or someth...

Now that you say S14, the problem you are having is probably because the OBD2 ECUs use a hybrid method to determine fuel requirements involving multiple maps that is not well understood. I hope to have a TunerCode solution for OBD2 sometime after the new RT daughter boards are available.

If you intend to run closed loop (using O2 sensor for feedback), then you can only tune (modify) the open loop portion of the fuel map. Changes made to the closed portion of the fuel map will be tuned back to 14.7 AFR by the feedback control. If you want to run open loop all the time, then you must ...

There are a number of problems using this method to log and map trace with one TP value. The ECU calculates a TP value based on the MAF sensor, RPM, and K constant, however this is not necessarily the TP used with the fuel and/or timing maps. Under certain conditions, TP comes from either the TPMin ...

The ECU adjusts timing during idle for idle speed stabilization, so that is normal. Timing is pulled as the throttle is opened, based on how quickly the throttle moves, and also during overrun fuel cut, so that looks normal too.

If there is a problem with the MAF, the ECU uses the TPS and RPM to determine TP, so if both MAF and TPS are giving bad signals, things don't run well.

Yes, exactly. You're just relocating the pins from where they were in the connector defined by the 240sx ECU, to the Consult pin locations in the ECU connector for the Stanza ECU. Those wires then become the Consult connections you need in the CHECK connector. Then cut the 5 wires you need for Consu...
