Great reply!unicoder wrote:Your turbo manifold, the very first stud, goes straight to a water jacket. When you put that turbo manifold on, did you by chance have to tap that hole or have trouble tightening it down? You may have broken through to the water jacket.

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
Sure. I'm pretty busy these days, so my response time can be a bit slow. I finally traced down my coolant leak and fixed it. Woo hoo! The front lower intake manifold nut had backed out and it was leaking past the intake gasket. Tightened the nut down with some Loctite on it and I can't find any more...

What's your crankcase vent setup Adam? Very nice build by the way, I'm just starting my 4th KA-T build... Can't get enough of these things and I haven't blow one up yet, lol I'm using Greaser's PCV setup. Search on here and you'll find several threads on it. I finally got my own "garage"....

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
I was coming home yesterday and had a little fun with a red GTR on the highway. Whatever he had done to it, it was pretty quick. I sure couldn't pull away from him. Halfway through the top of 4th gear, I depleted my PCV vacuum tank. I pressurized the crankcase, blew the dipstick out, which made a hu...

Photobucket. I already had a paid account before all of this happened, although i don't pay anywhere near $39.99 a month. And there's no way I'm paying that much. I keep checking my pics wondering if they are.going to shut them down, but so far, so good.

I'm running the LQ9/LS2 coils too. They're known as the D585 coils and they're one of the more powerful OEM coils you can get. I'm running NGK BKR7EIX iridium plugs with .030" gap and haven't had a single spark issue all the way up to 24 psi. Those coils plus the iridium plugs is just a great c...

It didn't go as well as planned and I only got two runs in. First off, I wasn't allowed to do a burnout and I'm still not sure why. Do you have a link or part number for the ones you run? Well, I have good news. The car is finally back to around the same boost/power as it was right before I pulled the Nistune setup. I have Ethanol content up to 77% now. On 21 psi, it's a beast. I can feel the back end getting squirrelly through ...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
Yeah, I've been told that I'm being too picky about the BOV noise. So, I'll just deal with it. It just really blows the sleeper status, but I'm not sure if recirculating it would even make it any quieter. Will the Bosch plastic valves hold 20+ psi? Duron, the fuse box cover is the stock cover. I rem...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
So, as many people told me would eventually happen... I'm starting to get tired of this loud-ass BOV! It sounds awesome when I'm letting off on a high boost run, but it's just too loud and opens up way too often when just lightly accelerating. Thankfully, Tial sells the QR lower housing for $56 that...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
Does it blend between two tables (like the secondary knock table during knock)? No, not really. My NISTUNE flex fuel setup had full sized maps for flex fuel that were blended with the primary maps based on ethanol content, which I really liked. Nismotronic only has a few small tables that cover sec...
