Re: is KA-T the right choice?

Hey..I have a general question. I have been trying to ask around about what would be the best route for me to go with my car engine wise. I am shooting for around 300-400 rwhp. The setups you have listed on this site seem pretty simple to reach that goal but when I ask other people who know a lot a...

Problem I can't figure out

Hey my friends NA motor is dieing when he slowes down and sometimes when shifting. He has code 0201 (primary ign signal). I have followed the FSM and performed the checks. I just found this. _The engine must be the same year as (or newer than) the vehicle. _The engine must be from the same type of vehicle (passenger car, light-duty truck, heavy-duty truck, etc.) based on gross vehicle weight. _If the vehicle is a California-certified vehicle then the engine must also ...

it's my understanding as long as you swap a later year engine into your car and use all of that cars emissions equipment you're fine (as long as the engine normally would be leagal, so no SR swaps :< ). With the equipment in the car you should pass visual, if you don't though, you can take the car ...

... As for the smog thing, it should be easier to pass the LS since I can transfer all of the factory emissions equipment, as long as I the swap is a newer year model engine than the car I'm dropping it into and I have the equipment it should pass visual inspection... Last time I checked, you can o...

I am running Supertech 9:1 pistons. 8.6:1 would feel more slugish at lower speeds but allow you to run higher boost. I am running 18psi on 91oct without any knock.

I can also sell you a set if you want. Comes with pistons, rings, wrist-pins and locks. PM me if your interested.

t88hlexus, I was looking at the pictures of your engine. First, it looks great! But, it looks like your oil drain fitting on the oil pan is pointing down. This will only get worse due to the engine being tilted in that direction when mounted in the car. You might want to think about making it tilt u...
